Does Maplestory stay turned on when you computer is sleeping?

I set my computer to go to sleep every hour, so I was wondering: does Maplestory stayed connected when your computer sleeps? If you opened a store on your character and then your computer went to sleep, would the character still be connected?

It disconnects for me but that was a few patches ago. I assume it's still the same since I'm not at the latest patch.

I would say it depend on your sleeping mode setting. But i can't be sure since my computer never goes into sleep.

The best answer is no. Not because it's the right answer, but it depends from time to time, from sleeping-mode to sleeping-mode, and from computer to computer.

My old laptop managed to sleep and run MapleStory when I wake it up again without any problems. Really interesting when you manage to wake it up halfway through a patch, and is still connected.

No, I get disconnected, but that's my own sleep-mode + laptop. Even without sleep-mode, sometimes, if I minimize my MS, and come back like 6 hours later.. I find out I somehow already got disconnected when I start seeing a bunch of YELLOW MapleTip messages all over my chat-box.

I would assume it depends on your computer.

My computer doesn't even go into sleep mode while Maple is up (as the front-most process).

If i have Fullscreen maple, my screensaver doesn't go on, so i stay connected. If i do windows maple, then it DCs when the screen saver goes on cause my screeen saver disconnects me from the internets o_O

Maple will not stay open when your computer goes to sleep mode. Sleep mode != monitor turns off to save power, hard drives stops spinning to save power. Sleep mode should be your computer shutting off everything, but keeping power to your ram so the information currently on ram won't disappear, since ram is volatile.
