[1.2.276] More rebalancing
Fire Charge : Sword - Damage increased to 140% from 120%.
Flame Charge : BW - Damage increased to 140% from 120%.

Shouldn't this be the other way around? I mean if there was a damage increase, shouldn't it be going from lower to higher?

look at the word, it says increased TO 140% FROM 120%

Wow, my brain is really not functioning today. Tongue

I find the fact that they now made Ice Charge worthless, since Fire is now 140% to Ice's 110%, and the fact that the damage charge, Lightning, is now lower than Fire.

It's errrr, uhhhhh a pot-saver for 3rd job. With the errrr, uhhhhh Thunder Charge you can errrrr uhhhh, actually kill things while errrr, uhhhh freezing them with a charge power of 132%. You can errrr, uhhhh skip Charge Blow in theory until errrr, uhhhh you get Advanced Charge Blow maxed in errrrr, uhhhh, 4th job.

You find the fact what?

Lightning's still the "damage charge," in a way. Ice does seem pretty useless now, though.

Ice charge had always seemed useless in one way or another.

Wow, I completely forgot to finish my sentence. xD

Ice was sorta useful as a freezing charge, and since it was only 10% less damage than Fire after the first update, it was decently useful. Now it's a little pointless since it's 30% less than Fire.

Not sure if it had been posted but what does the new range for charge blow look like?

Ice charge wasn't worthless ever? Rolleyes when did this happen. Lightning is much more important now than it was before, regardless of it's unchanged damage %

Come to think of it, I'm not really sure why they buffed Fire charge the way they did. Now WKs are decidedly overpowered in 3rd job. Where before they had 1.2x1.5 with single fire advantage, they now have something on the order of 1.4x1.25x1.5 (best-case scenario).
If it stacks additively and composition-style (which is the worst-case scenario) it would be 1.65x1.25 with single fire advantage, which I guess isn't so much better.

Hsalf is Ice Weak. If something happens to have an elemental advantage, I'm using it if I come across it.

For those of us who don't multiply decimals in our heads:
1.4*1.25*1.5=2.63
1.65*1.25=2.06

Wow. brbmaking WK.

Fire arrow to 180 spell attack, cold beam to 160, thunderbolt to 80, and holy arrow to 120 would've been better. The 2nd job F/P was always about hitting 1 target, now it just looks dumb.

They've already said they're going to rework it so it's obviously not too late. Damage values will likely be changed to reflect new calculations after the new formula is put into place and that is likely why we haven't seen too many changes in the actual attack field for mages. Most changes have been about range or effect rather then damage.

It's currently 1.8, so 2.06 is not that great.

Where it really helps is neutral targets... worst case is 1.25 becomes 1.65, nearly a 30% increase in damage.

Fire Demon is still the same as Fire Arrow. D:

So our 4th Job mobskill is just as strong as our 2nd Job mobskill, only with a little burn effect that actually removes the weakness to fire on fireweak mobs. And it hits a staggering two mobs more, TWO. Totally worth the 30 SP.

Instead they upgrade Meteo even further. Do they even realise what the problem is?

I can't believe this is the first (?) time someone has brought up this issue. What a way to go. Damn.

I wonder if they're going to do the same to Cold Beam. Hope if I/L get updated more, it is a little better than that...
