Will they cut my Financial Aid if..

..I don't get accepted to a university? Because I sorta sent in a late application, and apparently, I don't meet their requirements, which is a 3.0 QPA. I believe mine's like a high 2.x, like around 2.9 or so. Yeah, I know, I'm not a GREAT student like most.

So yeah, I applied for the Spring at the University of PITT and got denied. <_< . . . There's about a week left or so for registration at other universities, and I'm wondering if it's even do-able.

Secondly, I'm really worried that they might cut my Financial Aid if I don't manage to go to school on the Spring. Because I can't help it if xyz universities denied my application, you know? Serious question, if anybody can help, that'd be awesome. And yes, I'm talking about FAFSA/PHEAA.

Ok, gotcha. So basically, if I take this semester off (albeit, not by choice), it won't kill me. But not attending two, will. Thanks for letting me know. Will I have to change my FAFSA form online as well? Because I set it so that it sent money to my current college. Or will they automatically know that I graduated from this college? <_<; Sorry if I'm asking too many questions, this is my first upcoming transfer (if I even get one), and I'm rather worried.

Grades do not make a good student. Grades are just a number that means nothing at all.

Colleges can only accept the money if you're currently a student. In this case, the loan provider will send the money to the college assuming you're going, and the college will kick it back stating you're not a student.

That has nothing to do with what he was saying. You can be a really terrible student (like me in high school), and be pretty smart.

In my case, I had to repeat one year at High School, and take lots of exams because I failed a lot of classes. University is going wonders for me, and in the 1~10 score scale we use, I average 8.5.

Scores are s'hit.

I'd rather work with a person with no school experience but that KNOWS what he is doing than with a person with a 4.0 GPA that is as dumb as a worm when it comes to REAL work.

When you refill your FAFSA out they have a section for which school you attend.
You need to change that to receive aid.

Thank you for the responses, everyone. My parents pretty much went apesh't on my ass because I procrastinated til October to send in an application to the uni I wanted to go to. I assumed I'd get accepted, but I was wrong. <_< I should have sent in more apps to other unis as well, my 1st mistake. So yeah, I'll be going to other unis tomorrow and try to fill out as many applications as I can and hope to GOD that I can get in a university in time. If not, I suppose HALF a year of not going to school won't hurt, though I admit, I'll be behind.
