Whatever the do decide to do, please do no choose the ridiculously stupid option of nerfing stats like they did in the BPQ
It was freakishly annoying to enter that for the first time and find out that I can barely do 200 SBs as one of the best equipped Shads in GMS (and Level 200...) and that I get outdamaged nearly twofold by 7x Hermits
I think a PvP system could work, but obviously things must be changed: Hp, damage, skill limitations, invincibility frames removed on skills, no OHKO on snipe, etc.

If it's restricted by class, it'll be boring as hell. Two warriors standing there brandishing each other (inb4thatswhatshesaid) forever?
Also, how do they scale back Snipe? :/
They'd also have to change the scale of accuracy and avoid.

Yeah, I don't understand how that works. Bandits outdamage every other class in the game in 2nd job. How the hell do they end up so much weaker than Assassins in there?

It scales my dex down to 100, and luk down to 212. Even though I have 260 total watk (no buffs), my max range is like 424 lmao, so clearly equips do not matter at all. Nexon just doesn't like Shadowers (glitches, skills, etc.) so I am not really surprised.

What's even more puzzling is that it scales down lukless mages down in a wierd way, my GF hiccasqueak can only do 1's with her magic claw, despite the fact in her stat window her magic is at least 200. (Which is still really low, but come on, she should be doing more than 1's.)

How about like Pokemon - everyone gets boosted to the same level, etc, etc. And have some rules like Pokemon Tournaments e.g. AoE clause, Potion clause, etc..

1 room of each class to fight,where the last survivor wins
simple challenges,like jump quest competition,killing the most x and y monsters competition
or tourney:
10-20 register the tourney
at least 2 from each class
each class will have its own fighting arena,where the last survivor is heading to the next(each from a job)
a long jump quest between the winners,where the first three to finish move to the next stage
and last stage is to collect the most marbles,like sheep and wolf event but you get 20bombs and 10 protectors,each person will get 5 marbles,so the one who takes the most,wins
(my theory of pvp method)

wouldnt work>.> to much difference in classes i would hate to see a Pally SERIOUSLY try to kill a NL or a corsair, they would have no useable movement skill (since i assume thee NL/Corsair would be using FJ/Recoil shot to move away) maybeee if they made it so you can only use ATTACK no skills kinda thing... that could allow ranged chars with lower hp to get in a hit or 2 extra before the melee chars got to them to attack them

Any ranged class (or a DW) would annihilate a mage easily, hell, if a Hero/DK had more speed equips, than the mage, he could catch up (the mage couldn't teleport away) and kill it. All a Pally has to do is use HH and land one clean hit.

Don't forget that Gunslingers/Outlaws/Corsairs/Brawlers (i think)
can stun so they got to fix that if are going PvP....

Why is it so impossible for you?
All they need to do is reduce base damage as Eosian said and other things like disabling auto aim for arrows and stars, disabling some skills like Flash jump, Drain, Snipe, Panic, HB and etc. and status like stun, slow, freeze, poison. Maybe they could do something to make defense and magic defense finally usefull, at least just for this. All of this would only work inside a special area.

Could this possibly be more in relation to Mabinogi then Maplestory? Reading what you've found, there's no designation to which game they might be talking about. I can't see them implementing any of those items into Maplestory, Mabinogi however already has some of those things and they need a bit of improvement. Interesting find though OP.

What I'm more surprised at is that Japan is already talking about Evan when it's not even officially released in Korea yet. They waited a few months after Aran's release to start talking about Aran's release in JapanMS.

It doesn't matter, any Archer with Thrust, a Sin with Haste or a Slinger with Recoil shot is going pwn the hell out of a Warrior
