About Pole Arm Scroll Inflation

How bad do you think it'll get?
I've been checking on basil and 60%'s are going for 7m a piece in Broa.
Will it get even worse after Aran's released? Will it go dramatically down -'back to normal'- after Aran stops being a novelty?

It will peak around the 5th, me thinks. Stay high till the 9th, then drop like a rock.

According to those that play KMS, polearm scrolls are still the most expensive scrolls.

Well, they have dropped. They are still the most expensive scroll for weapons, but 60%s are affordable (3~4m now). 15m apiece for a 30% scroll is outrageous, for me anyways; I believe it they are the most expensive 30% scroll (not just ones for weapons).

I'm guessing that we will probably see a huge influx of PA scrolls once Aran comes out, causing deflation like diamonds. However, once those supplies start to dwindle...

I'm most likely selling 2 of my PA 30% before they patch in, and 2 immediately afterward for underneath what others are selling, just to get them shipped out and make a decent living.[/COLOR]

I've been amazed by the inflation of some of the polearms themselves.

Clean/average Maple Karstans are going for around 30m on Basil. :f6:

The last time I saw a Karstan, it was before the Malaysia patch... and was at ~60m. Clean.

the first day of the patch i got 2 30% poll arm attk from gatch and sold them both for 9 mil each. and that was the first day....so i think pretty bad...

Would an arcglaive severely improve their dmg? Or would it barely improve their hits per min.

And, I would think 12x att PA's in the eclipse/eviserator/zedbug forms would be fairly easy to make and abundant, but I guess not.

Pirate scrolls are the cheapest scrolls, and they havn't been dropping since the begining of maple....So I don;t understand them remaining inflated beyond the original hype period.

I think weapon speed is superior to weapon atk, their combo damage is based on how fast they can output hits, so it's probably best to get a Purple Surfboard if you can, or an Arcglaive if you can't. It adds up to about 5-6 extra hits every 90, which is a couple extra atk/higher % chance to crit/etc.


I do happen to have a couple Arcglaives though, maybe I'll see how the market goes and sell one of them instead of breaking it.

Im not too sure. I think some have said that the higher attack speed weapons make them attack faster, so more DPM is always good. Weapon att is always a good thing to have.

Most likely, they SLOW speed polearms would need to be high attack to match normal speed ones. Evisorators will most likely be used by few, as they have a slower speed.

As for pirate scrolls, gun scrolls have stayed pretty low, even though they might be stronger than NLs, and thats due mainly to slow training. For buccs, its really hard to say, as they are a very versatile non-ranged class, yet their scrolls are still cheaper than most scrolls. (also, BW and Axe would be the cheapest scrolls, and that makes my axe fighter sad )

Sounds like what happened to diamonds in my opinion, I've been able to sell 30% polearm scrolls for 15-18mil each. There are just way too many people hoarding 30/60%s at this point.

Prices here are inflated too,

Super snowboard = 50~75 mill
Maple Karstan = 50 mill

[COLOR="Green"]Getting a 12x Zedbug or Eviscerator isn't as easy as it sounds. An average Zedbug is 102 attack, and even with a diamond, that's 105 attack, unless you get lucky with a stimulator or black crystal. That means you need at least 15 more attack, which you can't get from just 7 60% as it is, meaning you'll need to land at least 1 30% to have that.

But I expect the scrolls to peak right upon release, and then plummet like a boulder.

Purple Surf/evil snowboard - Fastest(2) without SI
Arcglaive/most Snowboards - Faster(3) without SI, Fastest(2) with
Eclipse/most Surfboards - Fast(4) without SI, Fastest(2) with
Hellslayer, Zedbug, Chelbird, etc. - Fast(5) without SI, Faster(3) with
Eviscerator - Normal(6), Fast(4) with SI

The most effective weapon with SI would probably be a red surfboard, they're more common than arcglaive/purple surfboard, and have higher atk than all the other speed 5-7 polearms.

I'm not really sure what the difference in attacking speed from Faster(3) to Fastest(2) is so I don't know how big the atk gap from Slow(7) to Slow(8) is, but in general weapon speeds are worth 8-10 atk at high levels, upwards of 15-16 with apples.

A 12x Eclipse could easily be an endgame weapon, or a 10x Purple Surfboard.
