I'm sooo late... so this is a totally new job and not an extention to the mage class?

So do we have any evidence which could prove whether Soul Dragon and Magic Mastery add Basic Attack or Magic Attack?
The variable given is just .mad, like any other spell but it's also the same variable as Meditation and Onix's Blessing +MAtk bonus. The skill description uses the same word ('horsepower') as Meditation to describe what it's increasing, though Blessing of the Sprite and Onix's Blessing state 'Spell Damage' instead of 'horsepower', and 'Basic Attack' is a different word on its own. Of course, I know that the Strings aren't always correct (if anything they're the other category), but I just want to put that out there.

I'm not sure if this has been posted here yet, but I found the true size of Dark Fog....All I can say is holy......

The Genesis frames of Dark Fog are a real turn-off.
How would it look on layered maps like Skeles or Newties? That seems to be just one plane. And unlike the other ultimates the ray/meteor/icicles are all separate. Dark Fog's lightning is like 5 at once. Or does it look like that and the damage applies to everything within range, rather than each bolt of lightning hitting a monster?

[COLOR="Green"]HOLY SHI~
Do want. Now I know why it has a cooldown of 60 seconds. Can't have that much awesome be spammed. I wonder how effective it's going to be. I don't even care, I'm getting a point in that no matter how good it is.

RIPGobies Wrote:Why do you guys use 2x drop buff if it's already been said a million times it doesn't work at HT/Zakum? That's a waste of rep points. If you want to prove that statement, you'd need someone who used 2x drop buff, was the highest exp gainer and landed the last hit at Zak, and yet it only dropped 1 Helmet. Since the chance of a 2nd helmet is 50%, 2x drop under the correct conditions SHOULD produce at least 2 helms. I do however think the 15min 2x buff just does not work. I soloed Olivia with it, and it dropped me 1 doll. However it is just possible the rate of the 2nd doll is less than 50% and I was extremely unlucky.

Rei Wrote:The Genesis frames of Dark Fog are a real turn-off.It kind of is. Fog is unlike the other ultimates in that instead of hitting 300 above and 300 below you, it hits 600 above you and 0 below. So I would assume that the animation is all just one piece and damages everything in that range.

"The sky is red" *Repeat 1million times* It must be true. You need more data. Just because you use it and you don't get good drops all the time doesn't mean it doesn't work. And using it doesn't guarantee good drops either. When I use it, i take a look at how often I get more drops, and there is a greater increase when x2 drop rep is used. kthnx

Dark Fog in Action (and other skills)
Fast forward to 1:19 for Dark Fog. ![]() They really need to speed up their other skills though.
2009-11-25, 10:39 PM
I didn't see Dark Fog at all. Time?
Most of those attacks looked super weak though. edit: oh you edited your post with the time. BombsAway Wrote:I didn't see Dark Fog at all. Time? The time was already there. ![]() But yes, the class is rather disappointing in action. They either need a huge power boost or speed boost. All of their attacks, except Blaze, are incredibly slow. Since they don't have a spammable ultimate, they need better attacks to actually train with. At the moment, they're barely stronger than regular Arch Mages, if you exclude Meteo/Blizzard.

Bribery Wrote:The time was already there. Well what level is that Evan? I noticed he didn't critical on any hit, maybe he didn't up that skill...? I also thought illusion seemed like it was a decent speed, decent enough that SE+illusion+natural crit=major dps win. And earthquake seems like a great training skill. They probably won't train at AM/Bishop speed, but they definitely will do a whole lot more damage 1vs1 if I'm reading these base attacks right (They're double to triple that of Paralyze), which is something AM's tend to whine about.

I think I understand the addition of nerfed Newt/Skele mobs now. Low damage and slow attacks makes a lesser challenge a necessity for Evans.
