Wonderful Pet Owner Medal Glitch?

As you guys know, in order to obtain the Wonderful Pet Owner Medal you need to have 1,400 closeness on the current summoned Pet to obtain it. Well I went for it tonight and I kept getting this notice:



As you can see my Pet has a closeness of 17,486, WELL over the required closeness to obtain the Medal. I've been wanting this Medal for a long time now and I don't know if this is a glitch or if I'm doing something wrong.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? It's really pissing me off, I've tried EVERYTHING you can think of..I'm hella stumped, any help on this would be GREATLY appreciated.

I think there is a glitch when it comes to the pet you're using.

Alot of thing have been messing up with these medal quests lately. Alot of people have medals they shouldn't have, and apparently can't get ones they should :\ Just another nexon fxck up

OH! I should also add in that I transferred my Dragon's closeness to my Duck AND Balrog pet I got from the Gach box but I got the exact same error/glitch thing. =s

Dragons, Ducks and Balrogs are newer pets, try one of the older ones. Like White Tiger, Brown Puppy, etc.

Ah, well I've misheard then and it's just another type of glitch.

I always thought you have to gain 1400 closeness after starting the quest. Granted, I've yet to do this, but I just assumed it to be like that since I didn't get the medal with my dragon.

Edit: A search shows that you can only get it if your pet passes 1400 closeness, so it's glitched for now.

Uh, I made a new character today and didn't have any problems getting it on that. Pet was already level 17.

Well, this saves on my inventory space at least. D:

Mm My duck I've had since the duck came out.. It suited my ign ;D that aside I also can't get the medal, it has about 1600 or 1700 closeness.. I don't really look but it's level 15 xD and its so frustrating D:

I got all medals except for this one (bugged for me too, using blue husky ) and the PQ Mania.

Possible compensation for this? xD

GM Jascol sounds like one of the automated response GMs.

I've sent a ticket on the same topic and got the same response down to the last word. What's so bad with automated responses on tickets like these though? As long as it gets forwarded to the right place they can send me any trash they want.

When I first went to get it, I had a pet that was about to expire, and it wouldn't give me the medal. I had gotten a brown puppy from the CS surprise thing, which had 2 months or so left on it. I transferred the closeness from the pet that had just died (skunk) to the brown puppy and then I was able to get it. Are your pets close to expiring?

I think its the same issue as with Kenta's advice quest ... only the older pets work for it, because nexon is lazy and hasnt added the rest (or figure out how to make quests check for any pet instead of specific ones)
