^ Don't fight the npc, they suck. Fight the real people. And smasher is set damage I think, not sure about pvp.

Really? The army guy seemed rather smart for an AI. Every single attempt to rush him head-on involved a face full of lead. Of course he has no grenades like a regular gunner, but still.

On the other hand, taking almost 1/2 my life with one attack (over 8000 damage) is probably more fake difficulty since he hits even harder that the Exorcist opponent. Hard hitting opponent =/= smart opponent. Still evil though.

HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLY ****. This game has SCYTHES. I have a friggin' fetish for these things. Goddamn, I came.

I hate the Exorcist opponent, but only because he' grossly overleveled so he's got an unbelievable amount of abilities. However, I hate the gunner army guy even more. How the pineapple does he deal so much damage for a level 20? It took me a good 3 bars of my life to take down the Army gunner. Sadly he also reflects how gunners should fight. It's incredibly annoying. Running up to gunners head on is obviously suicide. Gonna run below or above them, and hopefully be close enough to launch em into the air.

The fighter AI is not a good enough representation. She hits too weak and too little times. The Slayer AI was about an even match with me, taking him down about the same speed he took me down. The magician AI is better. It took 1.5 bars of my life to take her down. Of course this was all at level 11 before I learned the awesomeness of learning my second launcher skill (a dashing Uppercut) and the sickening throw known as Smasher.

Speaking of that, I pretty much love using that ability. I'm invincible for the duration of the ability once I grab an enemy, and it's unbelievably powerful. 500-800 damage to the enemy I grabbed, ~300-400 damage to any enemies in my way when I dash and chokeslam the enemy. This is damage at level 13 as well. Heart Also, nothing said win like chokeslaming the Tau beasts.

Only true for Launchers and SOME attacks for other gunners. Rangers have a pretty good Z axis (forward/back) range between Windmill and their various AoE shooting skills centered on them, Spitfires have grenades out the ass, and Mechs have...mechs. Launchers primarily deal with head-on attacks (How shall I kill those on my X axis? Let me count the ways - Gatling, Flamethrower, Moving Flamethrower, Steyr AMR, Laser Rifle, Cannon Ball). I counted 6. 6 high-damage long-range linear/cone attacks. PvP will get a lot easier when you're around 22-25. This is when you have a variety of skills, don't get cooldown-trapped as often, and aren't as predictable as a pre-jobber.
The gunner is hitting you so hard from a critical more than likely. Just don't rush him head-on, you'll be fine - he's not smart enough to have a hand-cannon to get away from a fighter in time.[/COLOR]

Scythe fetish meets broom fetish? I started playing DFO just because I found out about the Witch and BROOMS. lol Awesome stuff.

FINALLY FINISHED ARAD BRANCH. Had to defeat Isadora TWO more times for her stupid Key. And guess how much exp the quest gives. 2875. That's totally proportional! At least it gives 10 SP too. Now I just have to defeat Hydracle four more times... Just four more...

Halloween Decorations are hard to find. I only have 3 after two runs through Arad Branch.
I've gotten 2 decorations since i started my magician/witch or w/e its called... Lv5 and I'm going to mirkwood hollow... god its hard to finish the "don't get hit" quests as a magician...

If you have tokens to waste, your number of hits get reset when you are revived.

Preferably you don't have to do this anyways, or what's the point of the "training"?
Scythes suck. Totems and Axes ftw. Tongue1
Anyone have a newbie to run through Thunderland with me? I want to get rid of that quest. I'll be on later at around 9 PM.
9 PM PST?

Maybe.. on my Mage (Gritto). Check if I'm on then.

WOO WE HAS BOARD, NOW THIS THREAD CAN die.

Well 9 CST. About 9 hours from now if it helps.

I still haven't cleared those quests either. PM me when you're going or find me in game. I might still be around.

Finally went back and finished off the Second Spine quests I didn't have fully done yet. Lasers and Rainbow Salt. Currently 15/25 on Halloween Decorations. Only other quest I have left is... 4 Hydracles...

94 fatigue. 1 token. I can do this.

The only one I lack is the Party one. If you need Expert's Road Thunderland fulfilled as well as the "don't get hit more than 11 times" quest I can help with both. I'll charge in and mop the floor with Smasher while you stand back and use cooldown attacks.
Yeah I meant the party ones. I did everything else.
Mark Wrote:Yeah I meant the party ones. I did everything else.

There are more party ones than just the Thunderland one?

Ffffffffffffffffff-
I just ignored the party quest, as it doesn't block further quests

Btw anyone know how much def equals how much damage reduction? If it's not significant, I doubt heavy is better than leather for a launcher.

I was told 10 def negates 1 atk. How true that is I have no idea.
YES. Four flawless Hydracle victories.

Finally all caught up on quests (except Albert's retarded party of 4 quest). I better not ever have to go to Arad Branch or Laboratory again. Due to my farming, I should easily be able to get through Hatchery when I level up, too. Then I'm kissing this hellhole goodbye.
