I don't see where the problem lies with him creating a thread just for this occasion.

On topic: I am extremely excited over this. I can pretty much tell you I'm returning my PS3 as soon as possible and love that I have a 360 already in possession. I figured Square would turn to the 360 eventually any way.

My friend showed this to me. I started laughing real hard because he only has a ps3 for this. What a shame.

I'm excited about it I forgot it was coming out. I have a habit of forgetting to look up games. Anyways. That works nicely for me... My family has both the 360 and the PS3, but only the 360 is in my room (PS3 is in the den). That means more time for me to play it without having to work around other schedules. Woo.

I'm kind of sad for my friend because he was saying that Sony lost almost all of their exclusive third party games, now it looks like it finally happened. He lost all hope in Sony </3.

Anyway, I guess I'm happy about this although I was going to go play it on my friend's PS3.

Sony still has some good stuff coming...trust me, I wish 360 got Resistance 2...Id love to take on leviathan...looks INSANE. If they made a game that was nothing but fighting those giant monsters (a modern-type Shadow of the Colossus) I'd be thrilled.

To get the best out of the game, you're gonna need a PS3 anyways so like it's not really that big of a lose for him.

This has been my main source of entertainment for the past couple days, watching the GameFAQs subforum for FFXIII and all the PS3 fans crying with the Xbox360 fans taunting them.

I'm still getting a PS3 though, since FFXIII may be for both, but Versus is still PS3 exclusive, and from what I've seen it looks far more awesome.

And for those of you who think on the 360 things are going to be worse than the PS3 version, or the PS3 version is going to be worse because it's multi-plat, you're pretty much wrong.
Square Enix is developing it on a PC, then porting it to the PS3, and releasing that in Japan. After that, I believe they're going to start work in the 360 port, then release them simultaneously in the rest of the world (Japan doesn't get a 360 port).
It may push back the release back a tiny bit, but whatever.

Of course, all the butthurt kids [as posted above] posting on GameFAQs about their beloved jewel being ported to 360 makes me giggle. I knew it'd get ported before release, due to the fact they'd make much more profit if they have it on 360.

I'll be pre-ordering mine when it's available.

Ballsy? Meh I don't really consider it a ballsy move to say that Versus is going to the 360. If XIII can be bought out, then so can Versus.

Microsoft didn't buy out FFXIII from Square. Square didn't have a contract with Playstation. In fact, the head of Sony of America has stated that he refuses to pay a company for exclusive rights to a game. So, Square going to the 360 was it's own decision. Microsoft may have coaxed them, but it doesn't appear that they were "bought".

So... fantastic troll or epic fail? I'm leaning towards epic fail because he actually did put up a petition and turned comments off because he was getting flamed too much. I still don't get it... "Oh noes! Now a wider audience will enjoy the game, boosting sales and making it more likely that we see a sequel! The horror! I'm never buying your games again!".

I've personally done FF1 through 6 and didn't bother with 7-12 because it wasn't on a system I had. I'm a sale that they wouldn't have gotten if they hadn't done this... Considering the overall lack of RPG games on all of the systems, I think it's a great move to have it everywhere they can.

So glad I bought a 360 first before a PS3.
