I don't think i heard anything from city of evil anyway. I just hear em on the radio and usually change the station asap. Cool

I don't know Adversary/Dillinger Escape Plan, and I'm not too fond of Chiodos/DGD. I felt that they just don't have good enough screams or enough of them (actually, to be fair, I just haven't really given DGD a fair chance.)

You should check out the band you haven't heard of, they are SOOOO good.

Some more good bands:
  • Burden of a Day
  • Fit For a King
  • House vs. Hurricane
  • Suicide Silence
  • Stick to Your Guns
  • Attack Attack!
  • Of Mice and Men (old singer of Attack Attack!'s new band)
  • We Came as Romans
  • In Fear and Faith
  • Job For a Cowboy (SOMETIMES, most of theuir songs annoy the hell out of me, but the ones that don't are extremely good.)
  • Dream on, Dreamer
  • Enter Shikari
  • HORSE the Band (Keyboardist ONLY because the rest of the band utterly sucks.)
  • As I Lay Dying
  • Enter Shikari
And more, but I am not in the mood to make the list longer!

Also, please, tell me you don't like A Skylit Drive.

It is deathcore, I wouldn't classify that as a "hipster" band.

Does MTV mean anything to you, or, in the words of earlier Dream Theater, "empty v"? Tongue1

Come on. You can download a few songs for use as ringtones by them (using first-party software, to boot)!

I don't watch TV, I sit on the computer all day. MTV is all about rap music or Lady Gaga anyways.

I only know 2 of those bands (suicide silence and as i lay dying), both of which are awesome.

Of the songs i have had in the past from a friend of mine, a skylit drive is awesome, however i've listened to wayyy too much of those songs to the point where i don't really like them that much anymore.

I'm not particularly into screamo as much as i am into metal though, as the screamo i'm into is a very particular kind.

DGD and DEP are one of my favorite artists ever right now. Adversary isn't really screamo, like at all, lol. If you check out DEP get "Ire works" and listen to "Black bubble gum", "Milk lizard", "Dead as history", and "Mouth of ghosts" over and over again. GlitterGlitter

The stuff I usually listen to:
 Spoiler

Ya, the stuff I like most is deathcore/metalcore. I lsiten to a lot, but I like that stuff the most. (With the exceptions of TDWP/Underoath which are my 2 favorite bands.)

DGD/DEP sound a little too, dare I say, whiney to me, after listening to them. I like a deeper, more real scream. Or something out of the ordinary in instrumentals, etc. Of course, there are exceptions to the rule.

Unless they started out rich, bands (hardcore, metalcore or whatever genres people come up now) will not make enough money nor have a record deal with a company willing to dish out as much money as it takes to make fancy music videos such as that.

"Hipster" is not necessarily a distasteful term, either (its meaning is relative to those who encounter it); however, I can go to a local high school/mall (gross)/hardcore show and find at least several Bring Me the Horizon shirts on the torsos of boys who spend too much time on their hair. They're "hip".
