Poison bomb works like a F/Ps poison mist or venom star/stab, it will lower the monster's hp to 1, but it won't kill it.

To clarify:
While its true that those two skills cannot kill the monster by the poison effect alone, they do not work the same. Mist is based on the monsters HP and take a %ual chunk of it each time it strikes while venom is based on the thief's stats regardless of the monsters HP.
Casting mist does some poisonbased damage initially if I'm not misstaken, and that would kill the monsters left with 1 HP if you are circling a map while misting it.

Yeah, i was referring only to the poison effect, not the damage forumula. Poison bomb will also kill 1hp monsters with direct bomb damage.

Don't think that's what he's trying to point out. All poison formulas are the same (except venomous star/dagger), and it's supposed to take 1/40th of the monsters HP per second, leaving it at 1 HP. Venom on these things are taking out way more than that...

I thought that's what Carrion meant about Poison Bomb working with character's stats rather than monsters %.

The first hit does but the poison can't possibly work like that because it would have a damage range if it did.

You're right, I just tested it and it does in fact take 1/40th of the hp on higher monsters. Maybe it just has a limit as to how low the damage gets depending on character level? Because my lev 88 NW was doing 110 on snails/pigs.

Poison is more potent and dangerous than a burn anyway.

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?...601AAaozot

"The poison arrow frog and certain salamanders would have to top most people's list of "The World's Most Poisonous Animals." Just two micrograms of toxin from the poison arrow frog is enough to kill a human. A "microgram" is a very small amount. The ink in the period at the end of this sentence will weigh around six micrograms."

Should I have said that out in word from the first post? Tongue1

Note that:
- Pigs and Red Snails have different HP values, both of which are below actual dmg dealt (45, 75 < 106)
- Ribbon Pigs have higher than that much (120 > 106)
- ????
- Ahhh, I don't get it. Goggleemoticon

There's a minimum damage per second for poison based on the level of the skill, which is used if it's higher than 1/(70 - skilllevel) of the monster's hp.

Just looking for this confirmation and maybe better elaboration on the calculation of this damage.

Seeing as 110 is the maximum, I'm guessing it's Lvl*2 + 80.

Not necessarily. Nothing says it couldn't be a fixed value based on stats (it isn't, but that's not my point).
