I just started playing Crisis Core, I don't understand how this is supposed to be good. All you do it hit the X button over and over and do slow, clunky attacks.

oh you, no technique there. I want to see you spamming the X button fighting Genesis last form and/or Ultima. There's a lot more than that. Oh, a lovely character such as Zack, a strange guy like Angeal, and a badass like Genesis. Plus, the story is awesome, the ending is one of the best I've seen in the last few years, and the last 6-x/7-x missions are just great. Do I need to say more? Oh, I forgot, lots of magic fusion combinations, epic music and great graphics.

God I hate Golbez. Him and CoD really annoy me. I myself am a Terra player, so yeah. I'm still trying to find ways to counter them Frown

Shantotto is crap. If you can dodge her HP attacks, she's way too easy to punish. I don't think Tidus is that crappy, he's good at faking out people. Is he doing a regular dodge or is he doing is counter attack thing? It's hard to tell sometimes.

I did a weird glitch a few weeks ago, wondering if any of you have managed to do the same thing. I was playing Squall in the crystal world. I did Rough Divide in and ended up crashing through some crystals at the very end of the attack. Then I was walking on air :f6: I could move around and do my ground based moves, and I ended up jumping and then I fell down. I saved it, but I don't know how to legitimately get the video onto youtube or something. Then it happened again later that day. Although this time it was at the Rift. Shantotto was on a platform beneath me, and I went to go walk of the edge and fall down, but ended up just walking on air again. I meant to record it, but I didn't. I haven't been able to do it since then. Anyone know about this?

@ Above, never heard of/seen that, but I don't play Squall.

Also, Kefka is a PEACH if he's a higher level than you, his fire attacks chase you for quite some time (and can be very fast). If the level/gear difference is significant, he can wipe out most of your bravery in a single attack as well. I play in the air a lot (Zidane + Jump Boost + Extra Jump), so I don't have the ability to move away from them quickly (leaning towards making my 2nd gear/abil/summon set including reverse dash to quickly get away from him, but it doesn't help that most of my attacks are either easy to dodge or require me being close to him...

Here's my video of my experience with the Squall glitch:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWJfTt1PKMA

This video is similar to the other time I described the glitch, when I just walked off the edge.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4FjJzGF8fEg#movie_player

It seems that whenever Squall lands Rough Divide on the edge of a platform he can walk off the edge. I know with my second experience, Squall walked right off the edge, I didn't Rough Divide onto the edge, but I might have used it, landed on the ground, then walked over.

Kefka is a peach, but he's low-tier. However, most of my friends that plays Dissidia irl plays that mofo, Kefka. And most of them fought Squalls, in preparation to fight me, just because they all dream of beating an Asian in a video game . . . -rolls eyes-

I've begun to create a pretty good anti-close strategy with Zidane - I can get extremely high into the air, air-dodge, jump some more, etc, then spam long range attacks (Scoop Art and Solution 9) until the enemy gets pissed off enough to dash to me in the air. When this happens, I dodge whatever they attempt to hit me with and follow with a Free Energy, which is extremely fast and has more range than you'd think. It can also hit through walls, as I discovered in Pandaemonium, much to the chagrin of the CPU I killed doing so.

Of course, this doesn't work as well against Terra/Kefka, Firion, and anyone else with a long range homing attack. It also requires a bit of luck with timing, as skills like Solution 9 simply glance off of a dashing opponent vice doing any damage.

I got a used 2000, modded it, bought Dissidia, and dumped it onto my memory stick. Fun game, even if they did make Kefka ridiculously fucking weak. (I DO like how they kept his "hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate HATE YOU" line from the SNES translation. Something the god-awful GBA version did not.)

He's not weak.. His one Firaga attack is completely random and bad-ass. My friend will be abusing that to crush my Squall, because of it's complete randomness, though my friend claims there is a 'pattern' if seen carefully, and there's a correct and proper way to dodge out of it. So I'll have to play against Kefka to practice.

As above, Kefka's fire attacks are a peach. He's just awkward, not weak. He is slow as all pineapple at running though (especially compared to Zidane/OK, who I use primarily)

Kefka's Trine can also be tricky to dodge, if you're unlucky like me and dash right into one of the blue triangles Frown I've been working on getting the Chaos Reports, so I'll have to play Kefka eventually to see if he's really weak.

I had my doubts about Garland and the Emperor, but they aren't all that bad. Throw out Thunder Crest, tons of mines, and two Flares then start Starfall. CPU dashes towards you, hits something, and then gets smashed by meteors Biggrin.
