An odd hardware bug
#1
In maplestory, when I slide my laptop's volume dial to the left it activates my Band of Thieves (bound to C), and to the right my Disorder (bound to B). Why is this?

The really odd thing is when I click a dialouge box and slide it the letters C and B dont pop up.

My computer does the same thing. I have a touch volume control at the top of my keyboard, everytime I would turn up or down the volume it would open my guild or buddy list UI. I really don't think you can do anything about it unless you change the volume in the in-game options. =/

Same thing happens to me with my volume up and volume down buttons, but I don't know why.

It's been there for liek a year. I thought you people already knew. :f6:.
Like when I type in my password and the volumes to high, I hit the key and it add a * to the password thigny. XD.

I think Nexon programed it like that.

this happens a lot especially when it comes to volume keys or using the Fn (function) key(s). Its simply the way your computer assigns the keypress numbers to log them at being pressed or not. Maple interprets the keypress values as you pressing a key and as it doesn't recognise the value it looks for the closest thing which turns out to be the letters.... no way to solve the problem other than not using the keys in maple or the ones on your comp...

Same here. Just a quirk of laptops having less keys (in most cases) than default keyboards.

This is an issue that's been around since..... many years ago. XD It's just a mapping thingy, not a hardware bug. Nothing to really worry about.
