It really seems like most people are drawing their conclusions on how to determine whether this was indeed a glitch on how accesible it was for them to loot more eggs and hammer.

In other game versions the ht pendant is capable of going to 52 all stats, so whats to say this wasn't nexon's way of implementing it. Obviously we see now that it was a glitch, but with so little being said from nexon, how are we suppose to know.
it was a very obvious glitch. Any restriction that you can suddenly get around because of a new item that didn't specifically mention it was for the purpose of bypassing that security is pretty much
screaming "glitch". Neither Nexon, nor any company, is liable for telling you every way you can abuse their game. If they knew it, they would've prevented it. They've previously been excruciatingly clear that anything that looks too good to be true is likely a glitch whether they announce it or not, and that abusing what even
might be a glitch is entirely at your own risk.
Also, the "other versions have 52 stat pendants" is a rumor based on misunderstandings, not the truth. People have repeated it so often that the general public has been brainwashed into believing it.

Is this thread going to become anything more than a static discussion over the legitimacy of exploiting a glitch and the fact that certain players hadn't believed it to be one in the first place?

Nope, it's doomed to the same Circle of Denial glitch abusers always spiral in.
