Start with 2x card and all family 2x and 1.5x exp buffs. No other casters required, your own will work well enough.
Add 2x exp event for 2 hours.
Add 5th Chief Oblivion Guardian card during said 4x.
Train at Oblivion 4.
Total of roughly 32k exp per kill. It's a shame I had something I had to do near the end of my 2x card, or I could've hit 159 yesterday starting from 22% without using HS or being partied to a nuker.
Total time was actually closer to 3 hours, maybe 3hr 30mins. I stopped for a totalled time of roughly 3-4minutes to convert etcs to crystals.

No Pendant of Spirit? It turns your 4x Exp into 5.2x Exp. D:

I prefer my MoN, considering my accuracy dips below 180 without it. 175 acc is required to 100% hit Chief Oblivion Guardians.

Isn't it 172? When I did the calculations for my Viper, the accuracy calculator said 172 accuracy at level 14x to hit them 100%.

Guess it is then. I just knew it was somewhere between 169-175, and I never dip below 175. Either way, before my overall leveled, I was in danger of falling below the required acc to 100% hit, which, let me tell you bub, ain't gonna happen (as well as losing large amounts of my attack power and HP/MP). I now have 194 acc without a maple weapon, so I could theoretically switch, but am reluctant to do so because damage makes a huge difference in how fast I can kill there. Equipping a statless pendant for 2 hours to get the buff I need from it either wastes 2 hours or results in 2 hours of slower training for however long of slightly faster training. Not worth it for me, considering swapping my MoN means the difference between 5 hitting and 6 hitting. 4hitting/5 hitting when you factor in Rush.

You just missed 42m by not equipping the pendent, can 10atk help you gain this much exp?

No, it'd be roughly...25-30m. Not 42. I logged on and almost immediately went to train. Unequipping my MoN raises my hit-to-kill number by 25%, meaning I'd actually be training far slower for the first 2 hours and barely faster the other 2. I would also have been missing roughly 5-10% of the time, which is even MORE of a detriment to my training there. Even it's only 1 monster left alive per mob due to a miss, it's 1 extra attack per mob that I have to do. That adds up. My MoN also gives 5 speed, which, though not much, plays a part in helping me train faster. I'd probably lose another chunk of exp from that, bordering on 500k-1.5m an hour (depending on what exp rate I am getting). If I were a Bishop/AM, it wouldn't be a problem at all to swap. However, I am not, so it is.

The MoN helps reduce the kills needed of Oblivion Guardians by one hit. To make it more equal we have to cut down the EXP by about 15-20%.
140m * 0.85 = 119m
119m * 1.3 = 154.7m
140m * 0.80 = 112m
112m * 1.3 = 145.6m
Oh wow, equip the Spirit Pendant for a mere ~5-14m extra EXP at the cost of burning more pots?
No. Just no. That's with a full 130% bonus as well. Imagine with a weak 10%/20% two hours. EXP/hour would roughly equal out, or even goes down WITHOUT a MoN.

No. Just no.
Moar number crunching coming up:
It'd be more severe, as in my ninja post. I drop from 4-5 with Rush to 5-7. That hurts, a LOT. I'd lose roughly 25% of my exp gain right there, as well as the speed bonus from the MoN, spending more on potions from killing slowly (getting hit 2-3 times per mob instead of 1-2), etc. I'd also, as stated above, be on 1.1 and 1.2 for the pendant the first 2 hours, which is far LESS experience than my normal gain.

Hits to kill and exp isn't exactly an inverse relationship. Bishops don't train 2x faster by 1hkoing Skeles vs. 2hkoing. There's always the availability of spawn to deal with.
I don't like using the Pendant of the Spirit because even if it does increase the total exp you gain, being able to kill a monster in x hits can make training much smoother. Oblivion Monk Trainees are unable to shoot me if I kill them in 3 hits. If my damage was reduced enough to where I couldn't 100% 3hko, I would feel a lot clumsier, take more damage, and probably have to move back to Oblivion Monks, which results in worse exp. Plus hitting those bigger numbers just feels better.

It pretty much is for me, considering I almost constantly have a mob to fight based on how I rotate around. Oh, and I spent 1300 ginsengs or so in those 4 hours, so roughly 400 an hour (a little more than I originally thought I used, but I was also hard-core grinding, not dodging damage).

It's a cool story, but pales in comparison to a joint venture with a bishop in the skele dungeon. Since skele only require 138? acc to hit, i can train with the exp pendant on, use bishop bless, and still 2hko everything. Another perk of the mini dungeon (For right now) is the automatic 40 speed for a half hour. I burned maybe 100-200 honsters in 3.5 hours as well.

The point was that this was solo, non-bossing exp. No Anegos or BFs involved, no HS, no Bishop, no MD buff, it was all my own work and effort. I could easily get better exp in a MD with a Bishop, but for Solo exp I'm pretty proud of this. If we didn't have ult spammers, this would probably seem a lot more impressive, but meh...

i managed to rake up ~50m exp/hour yesterday soloing oblivion 4,
i did use repmules and i logged on 2 hours prior to my 2x card to get 5.2x
i don't really loose anything from the exp pend, since i still 2hko 100%
i really like training there since it helps with gathering PoT aswell

Why be you only 28.93%?
I got you to 3x%, didn't I?!?
And yes, if you could use a spear and manage to 2hitKO them 100%, it would be better than choosing to either stick with MoN or lose your 4~5hitKO ability.
The mobs in Oblivion 4 rarely rack up to more than 4 in any case except for the bottom, plus tanking body for 2 hits is more economical than taking 2~3 punches in your face during all 5 Furies, even though we all know pots aren't a problem nowadays.
Then again, Oblivion 4 is quite a favorable map for grinding solo. I only love them for the Pieces of Time though, gave up on training. xP
EDIT: On a second thought probably MoNless 4hitKO Chief Oblivion with Furies can prove to be more than decent.

Accuracy also depends on your level. The more level you have, the less accuracy you need to 100% hit stuff.

a warrior outshining a magician? beyond 4th job?
FLAWED LOGIC!
dont doubt yourself though mas, it is impressive. i myself missed that 2x event, but eh, still managed to get my dk to 95 with 70% that night (finally wearing that accursed red surfboard) with help from a friend at himes. but for a while i had swapped from my spirit pendant (i know that a 95 does not compare to a 15x, im admitting that now (and my saying that doesnt really affect anything, but this is just my model involving the pendant versus my main pendant)) to a dep star, and i hadnt really noticed much of a change in damage (well der, me, the dep doesnt add any wpn. attk., idiot), nor any real change in my exp gain (until after i had requipped the pendant... i hadnt noticed i was operation on 30% of an increase until i swapped (use that, along with a YAC scrolled with int, when i leveled (omitted the goblin bat due to difficulties using it in himes) to try and get some extra MP so when i reach that point later on, HP washing (which i still really dont comprehend) should be easier)).
...god, i love parenthesis...
