Thrust vs inferno

Hello!

I've read through this thread, but still cannot decide to go for max thrust, or leave it at 10 and get inferno to lvl 16 (and take 5 more points from other skills).

I have some questions to help me decide:
- How apparent is the range increase at lvl 16 inferno? How about the dmg increase?
- If I go with inferno what skills would I take points from? I was thinking 3 from hawk and 1 from strafe and AR.

The range increase is pretty big, but you don't really need a "lure," except on Typhons maybe. If Inferno can't be used for damage, then it's pretty much useless. This is coming from an avid supporter of the skill in the past

If you really want 16 Inferno the most logical way to go about it to me is to leave Thrust at 10 and Hawk at 25. A MoN and a speed bow/pill easily puts you at 140 speed.

With the Arrow Bomb update, Arrow Bomb is now *stronger* than Inferno with SE. There is now officially no reason to have max (or especially a half-assed) Inferno anymore. And who doesn't love max speed? Aside from Dusk.

I put 10 thrust, with it being +20 speed I have near max (136%) speed with my bow, mon, and quest specialist.

personally, i have NEVER found a use for inferno after 120.

Yes, it is much better to go with Thrust than Inferno, hell, dont max either of them, why not max Hawk instead? You wont even need to max Thrust, since with a high lvl bow (~11 speed), a MoN (~5 speed), and possibly some speed on your shoes from scrolling, you wont need to max it. In fact, I think i have too much speed a-@ and definitely have too much jump (speed = 140 Jump = over 130)

You know there's enough points in 3rd job to max everything else if you leave Inferno at 1, right?

Nope, did really plan out my point distributions until recently, No biggie tho.
