How does the damage done to monsters by an Aran attack change as the number of monsters hit increases?
Not awake atm, so iunno how to word this....
Edit:
Like how Heal's damage per monster decreases as the number hit increases, but the damage done to the mob as a whole increases...

...It doesn't change at all?

I know what you mean with the weird SB and FA combination, but I don't believe that applies to Aran at all.

I notice doing a LOT more damage per monster when I hit one than when I hit 10. :f6:

Slashblast FA does a constant amount of damage to the first monster it hits no matter what.
It has a different percent for each of the 6 targets it can hit, though. So the 6th hit is always about 5-10 damage >_> since it's only around 0.3% damage.

He worded it badly but what he said is essentially true.

Since when did overall damage increase with SB + FA vs SB? :f6:

Say it hits 6 targets; it's dealing overall more damage than if it hits 1 target, even though by the 6th target it's only dealing a minuscule amount.

Nah, i think he really did mean that having FA with SB is stronger than just SB.

I believe Russt is right on this one. He is saying that the actual FA attack, not SB, 's DPS raises with more mobs, even though Damage Per Hit lowers on average.
On topic: I think Aran's attacks are like normal mobs where it hits all of them equally. I may be wrong here since I have only been able to look at videos of them, and haven't actually played one.

Doing that to a mob of 12 is broken... o.o
Not to mention I see constant 200s in large mobs, but 1000+ on one.

This is one of those things that has to be worked out with lots of screen shots or a pure DEX Character, I believe.

Could be like Heal rather than FA, that would make more sense.

That would make more sense. (Heal as in it evenly distribute damage/healing to all affected healable things?)

Ok, I don't know how to explain it but...
For example, let's talk about combo smash. When hitting only one monster with it, I can do up to 30k (Crit). When hitting a mob, I do around 20~25k (Crit) to EACH mob.

Size of mob would be helpful to know. And if 30k is your max then 25k is in your range, so you're not proving much really.

I think the real question is, does it matter? If you hit 2 obviously the total damage you do will be higher than just hitting one, apart from the fact that you can hit 2 with your lower-end range and 1 with ur higher-en range (making this the statistic exception). Hitting more=more dmg, shouldn't that be enough? For me that is, at least.
