Your most hated 4th job quest?
#1
I decided to make this topic so you can post about how stupid some of these quests are, and read other peoples 'fun' adventures while doing these quests which Wizet created to test our patience (And our paychecks)

Green text like this is my little comment after each small bit of the quest.

Mine would have to be the Genesis.
Do not use this topic as a guide for this quest.

It starts off talking to your 3rd job instructor. I can't remember her name so lets just call her Roberto.

Anyway, Roberto wants you to click her lots of times, to get an imporant book from her. Then after clicking multiple times she says "It's with Wiz in the library"
Right. Nath to Helios tower, a short easy trip from Nath to Aqua.

So off you go to Wiz, When you get there, he gives you a book and wants you to take it to Grendal in Ellinia.
:l

So off you head to Ellinia, give the book to Grendal and he rants on about Shammos being evil and wants you to check up on him. That means you gotta go from Ellinia to Nath.
VIP Rock count: 1

So when I get back to Nath, talk to Shammos, he says he is not happy with Grendal or some crap. I didn't bother to completely read it because the fact the travelling distance is stupid. That means I have to travel all the way back.
VIP Rock count: 2

Ok, i'm back in Ellinia, gave Grendal the information and guess what. He wants me to go tell Shammos he is sorry!!
VIP Rock count: 3

Back in Nath again. Hoping this quest would end. I seriously just wanted to get this over with so then I talked to Shammos and bam. Back to Ellinia for some reason. To be honest, I can't remember if I actually went back. But bleh, i'm quite sure I did. Correct me if im wrong
VIP Rock count: 4

Ok, talking to Grendal again, I think. Anyway in the end, you have to go back to the best town on earth. El Nath! And talk to Roberto or Shammos. It doesnt really matter since they are in the same map.
VIP Rock count: 5 -_-

After teleporting down and climbing up ladders constantly talking to Shammos and Roberto (Even though they are in the same building)
They want me to be their messenger boy. Anyway, talk talk talk free exp yay then suddenly, Shammos asks you to get him a Life Root. That means all the way to Leafre to go HTPQ and get one.
On the brightside, atleast it's not Ellinia Rolleyes

Yay collecting the HT items, how fun. Then finding a party to do the pq with you. It was simple for me, as some friends had just finished HT and were willing to help. So I got the root and off to Nath I went.

After a small boatride, I got Genesis and a very pissed off buddy
Big thanks to DanIsB4ck for the VIP rocks >_>

I would say the Blizzard quest, since you have to do the exact same thing but instead of getting a life root you need to get the cold heart of a wolf, which drops from lycanthropes. I was lucky, and I only had to look for 1-2 hours. In the end, I also had 92 Lycanthrope toenails.

oh and about bliz quest, i got tired of killing after 2 hours so i got a 2x drop card and the cold heart dropped just as i got out of the cs

Ha, I was getting bored of it and by the time it dropped I wasn't really paying attention because I was talking to a friend.

Also, was the ifrit quest hard because of what you had to do or because it was hard finding a f/p AM?

I agree with you, genesis sucked. Getting everyone's HT quests done was the worst part for me, and I didn't use VIP rocks so all the long boat rides sucked. The res quest was also pretty annoying, but nowhere near as bad as gen was imo.

the genesis quest wasn't too bad for me since i just play omok on long ship rides. since i was 124 when 4th job was released, i didn't have any trouble finding parties etc. I think the most annoying for me was actually getting bahamut. it just bored me having to farm wyverns so much.

All my quests were easy as pomegranate. Although before I turned 1H, I did the guardian quest; with a Lv10 shield and a black umbrella.

Pro really. <_<
edit: idc if it's in the mage section ok. ):

I hated the Genesis quest as well. After all those boat rides we had to do the HT quest. It was really hard for me to find a party. I got lucky to stumble upon a group that needed 1 more person. The thing is there were 3 other Bishops in the party so we had to do the PQ over and over until the Life Root dropped. It has such a bad droprate.

The resurrection quest was annoying too since I suck at jump quests. The fact that this one was invisible didn't help. Rolleyes

I had an f/p bugging me to help him get his so that wasn't the problem, it was just getting crap from ludi, leafre, nlc, and then going up and down the orbis tower back and forth to talk to alcaster and that other guy in the cave which took forever Rolleyes

Cold heart was easy on me unlike for some people. I got lucky.

Getting Ifrit was hard because Khaini had about only 3 FPs 120+ that were active around the time I needed it. And the FP community isn't very friendly to people outside their friends because "lolfp".

You don't need a FP to get it. Just go in with another IL (Yes, two ILs) and kill the ice weak one, leave, and retry. At least, thats what I did (two FPs)...
Or you can just ask any arch mage with a summon to go in with you.

As for the most hated quest... I'd say that 10 mil quest to advance. I got my items through Griffey and Manon, but being that I like to finish my quests, still paid the 10 mil afterwards at Lv 127...

I really hated the Ifrit quest. It took like 4-6 hours to me T_T And after using 10m for the advancement, I spent like 2 hours spamming blizzard at Harps for the flaming feathers.
