My prediction is 3400 NX.

It's not going to be worth more than 4k because that's not how you make money. There are a lot of people with a lot of NX out there, unfortunately the ones who have hoards of it tend to spend it on ridiculous stuff like clothing (which is why it costs so much; 'cause they know those people will buy it.)

For things like this it's best to price it moderately so no one is turned off by it. 100 hammer's at 4k is $400 for them, where if they price it at say 8k or 10k a lot less people will be willing to shell that much out, and definitely not repeatedly, so they'd be lucky to see even a quarter of the overall sales. Since they have no limit in their stock it would be silly and a grave mistake for them to overprice it.

I was wondering the same thing...I can see scammers drooling already.Tongue

there actually is an indication that those scrolls have worked on things now. i saw a pair of facestompers with a spikes scroll that worked on it. it adds something under the stats saying that it prevents slipping or whatever. i forgot what it said exactly. :x

$4 x 100 = $400 O.o

yeah I figured it out it's because I was using NX in my brain (4000) instead of just 4

Look. For example, some guy has a 13 att wg. Its worth 20 mesos. another guy has a 15 att wg. its worth 30 mesos. now the guy with the 13 att will upgrade his glove using this thing and make it 17 att. the guy with the 16 att will upgrade his glove using this thing and make it 19 att. Now imagine that ALL maple does that. Bam, deflation. It makes scrolling easier, not the scrolled items more expansive.

Lets say out of 1000 people about 500 of them have 8 attack work gloves, which isn't all that shocking in maple these days. Those 500 people will want to make their 8 attack gloves into 12 attack ones. So they use the hammer, but where does the scrolls come from? If those 500 people all want 2 more GFA scrolls for their gloves then we need a total of 1000 scrolls. The supply of GFA won't be changing with this patch because the chances of getting them after the patch won't be any different from what it is now. More demand without more supply=inflation.

Gloves for attack will inflate (although it will probably only be temporary), but gloves themselves will deflate due to easier scrolling. eventually things will return to normal and we will end with cheaper attack gloves.

Yup! thats the problem that I thought of as well...if you use two hammers on a godly item and then they both fail. If you sell that to someone else telling them it could be hammered then we're all doomed...

Seriously like how can you possibly trust anything in the FM now if you don't know if it has been hammered or not : (

If VH adds slots as it states it does, one can avoid this by either:
  • Add something that tells the amount of VHs used on item.
  • Change the (+x) into adding all scrolls that is used on the item. That is +x = tuc - [slots left].
  • No limit when traded.

Maker + Hammer = all existing items have gone out of date. The new top item will be a perfect Timeless that was Hammered and finished with White Scrolls. Next to that, a currently godly Casters or Sparta (let's say with 3 30%s finished with 60s) will be $hit.

I fully expected as much, but here's something more ominous -- someday Nexonazis will do something that makes even Maker + Hammer obsolete. So all of you guys about to spend billions and billions on this $hit, don't expect to sit on your laurels too long cause Nexon wants more money. I am not trying to be rude, I am just very frustrated by the pattern by which they release new equipment.

Timeless won't have that much effect on the fm for a very long time. Considering PB won't be regulated like ht or zakum for awhile. Even if it is, think about it, those are end game weapons, nearly 1bil each for a LONG time.

Maker skill is just as costly, even then most people won't bother weapons, they'll stick to investing into timeless weapons. Obsolete isn't the word, 2nd place rather. But we've known this for a long time, that these weapons were going to replace, however to regulate enough in the economy for all our current weapons to plummit(Never will happen to mages I might add) will take a long time. Also with the inflation of ores FOR the maker skill will make these '34953495 stat' equipment very unlikely. No one is going to really sell their old gear just to attempt to upgrade 3 stat of ap. It's not like how scg and bwg were introduced, they were gach/itcg which made it available to everyone. PB is available to less 10% of the population, if not less. The maker skill is overated as most Msea people will say.

I think Taiwans getting a gach box event with timeless weapons in them lololol, its somewhere in that the tread about their new patch. If we get that then yay timeless for us Tongue

Those are current end game weapons. Remember that Dragon weapons were end game for a set amount of time?

I'm curious about how this will affect HT pendants. Does the hammer only work if your item has 0 slots, or can you, say, use one slot, and regain it with the hammer? If that's true, then would it be possible to upgrade the same HT pendant three times?

For someone patient, this is awesome - all I need to do to get godly gear is wait until the rich mofos decide it's obsolete. The longer I wait, the better it gets - and I don't even have to do anything. Of course I'll never be in the top 10% of powerful players doing this, but neither will another 90% of players... and as long as I'm happy to compare with them it's fine.

I saw the page for the top payouts from their gachapon box event, it is the exact same one we had: Stonetooth swords, chaos scrolls, all that.

But all I know, the average on most items is going to dip. People might finally be able to afford some of what is considered "good" now.

I feel like an idiot buying 30 of them without even knowing the real effects of the vicious hammer. Oh well, I guess it's all about taking chances when it comes to the market?
