About the hammer
#1
It seems everyone is panicking over this dam hammer. Honestly I think it's a great addition to the game, allow me to explain:

All this hammer did was raise the average damage (player) cap on all accounts. Yes in the beginning this will beat on the poor, but doesn't any new item/update? The rich get the worm quicker but what a lot of people you seem to forget is that everyone catches up.

In the end you get two types of people for this event: People who spend triple the first 2-3 weeks, while others wait and pay a 1/3rd of what they did. The ratio proportion is still the same, 2 extra slots=4 extra attack(average) most people won't 30/10/chaos their equipment to upgrade it, some will but those are the ones with 18att+ gloves anyway. The players who have money will keep their edge but it does benefit the poor players as it does add average 4 stat per equipment.

Was a thread necessary to state the obvious fact the hammer will do players good in a short time majoritly? Probably not but I really didn't want to go in threads who were complaining about it and clarify for them the positive of this hammer.

Say hello to an evolutionary stage, not an apocolypic collision Tongue

It pushes even further the fact the NXless get less perks than those with NX.

You also gotta think about those who currently own godly items. The hammer is destroy prices like locusts on a corn field, since the very fact people will gain on average 2-4 extra attack. For the godly, a mere one attack can fetch 100m-200m+. Now imagine how badly prices will plummet for their equipment? It'll be equipment deflation all around. I also sense all the good scrolls will only skyrocket in prices because everyone and their mother want that extra 2-10 extra attack (for the really rich who can white scroll).

*No I am not complaining because I own any godly equipment; the most I spent mesos on was a 100m earrings. I'm talking about the people whose single weapon can fetch over a billion easy,

Agreed. Quite frankly, GMS is known for overpowered items and I bet other versions want it.
#4
I've learnt to Ignore it. 99% of complaining will be gone within a month, just like every time nexon "ruins" the game.
#5
This only affects people who care about their damage or about other people.

Thanks God that I play OnMyOwn and don't care about my 9Ks crits.

It just gets rather silly at how far one can make their equipment or themselves godly with the help of NX. +1 stat rings were weird enough; Karma Scissors helped Zak helm and HT pendant sellers (stimulates the economy); this though? Let's see.............

Weapon, cape, shoes, helm, gloves, face accessory, nose accessory, and earrings will all be able to gain 2 slots. Just for having NX, you gain 12-16 extra slots of stats! WHeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Am I going to take advantage of this Hammer? Yes. Are we going to probably hear lots of nerd raging over the fact so-and-so's godly is less godly or more cries that Nexon is all about the money? Yes.

Yeah, I agree with the original poster.

If you don't use NX, there is already things you were missing out on anyway. If you used NX you probably would have been able to obtain the mesos to upgrade your equips a bit more.

There's still mts though. If a person without NX really wanted to add slots to their equips, they can make NX through mts.

There's no such thing as nxless anymore. With mts it is accessable, and from my understanding no other game does that. You can play this game without paying a dime, true it takes a lil more work but its possible. And I empohasize little. All you need is one big break, one good scrolling, one awesome drop, or one awesome gachapon. Hell even merchanting!

You either start low, with clean wg's leathers what not, or just suck up the crap damage until your pq level and farm scrolls which you mts merchant. Of course just going out and buying an nx card is much more convenient. The point is Nexon was generous enough to break the nx vs nxless bridge with mts.

However I still disagree, in deflation aspect. I mean think about it, a 15 att glove is still going to be worth the same if not more for a couple of months as it gradually deflates. MOST people will keep the upgrade rather than sell it, if they arent already buying prescrolled gloves in the market, or equips yada yada. It will cause an inflation unfortunatly for a lil while because people will be buying prescrolled equips/scrolls with a much higher demand. However I believe nexon is planning to counter this with a gold box event soon. I would assume these slot adders are meh, 5-7k nx rather than the 10 previously predicted because you have to think of its value not only in the game world but the real world, 6$ to get at most a 5att add on. That just doesn't add up imo.

I'm a lil excited that I can upgrade my gear even further by myself without spending another, 500-1bil. I think were on two different pages though, none incorrect but I'm thinking in an independent way rather than marketing way in terms of availabilty.

They are CS, and theres so much you can inflate a scroll for before people just do the quests for them ya know? I mean you can buy level 30's thats nearly 3 quests for scrolls right there! Also if you LPQ farm you can get glasses (will inflate even more) and scrolls, bam 2 for 1.

It's a good add on all together cus it universally raises the average of attack total in order to give us a lil boost, if not a little a lot.

Especially a problem when we have a top down, "people who spend NX to upgrade their items get dibs" system where everyone else just gets the scraps.

Everyone getting stronger isn't necessarily a good thing. It means the same content gets old faster.

There are a lot of outdated training spots to be updated. Seriously 9% an hour at 16x? That's, 14/100=7 hours of training to level.

Your %/hour sounds like a 4th job mage. You people don't get to complain about your training speed when you blast the screen with your 1/2/3 shotting nukes. And how did 9%/hour become 100/14?

*UNLESS that is your 2x speed, then I will digress.

Sorry I'm at work and my brain was drifting. And is that a Arch mage? I was just estimating, my shadower made about meh 13-15% at 15x using a low level taunt at skeles, I assumed it be down to 9% by 160.

None the less, 7-10 hours+ to gain 1 level, thats 5 ap and 3 sp, does that sound worth it to you? lol

Yes that's 2x.
#13
2x card = 4 hours = ~8%.
~50 hours on 2x = ~100%.

Sounds worthy.

Wouldn't releasing new equips from gachapon with more slots that outclass all the old ones be more of a "power creep" than making all existing equips upgradeable by everyone?

And thats how it goes and always will go... when I was level 70-75 my WK was getting easily less than 10% per hour. Things change. Ludibrium came out, I got new areas, training sped up again. Fast forward to level 10x and once again I'm getting under 10% per hour. Stayed that way until we got the Skele minidungeon. My Night Lord gets 10%/hr almost dead on at level 12x.

why not first bringing out the vicious hammer, and in about 3 months new items with naturally more slots ;-)

Do we really need two topics on the same thing? Please, keep it to one topic.
