What's causing all the inflation?

 Some mediocre counterpoints that probably still won't convey what I mean

I'm trying to keep this in terms of Maple. Natural in a sense that the value of the meso decreases or increases due to a change in the game made by Nexon, such as new content, population changes, etc. Since Nexon is essentially in a God position for Maple, I'm tempted to say anything they do that alters the value of a meso is natural. Be it meso bags, taxes, new pots, new monsters, etc.
Artificial in a sense that inflation was caused by intentional actions within the player base or through ToS violating actions that shouldn't exist in an ideal, ToS-abiding world.

 A more concise idea, less likely to lead to pointless and non-constructive arguments on meanings and usages of the terms in question

Perhaps Intentional vs. Unintentional is a better set of terms to use.

 And before you get on me about any action by Nexon being classified as intentional

Yes, obviously Nexon's actions to change the value of the meso are "intentional" as the definition of the word goes. The difference is that player's intentions generally lean toward a meso profit, and Nexon's intentions generally lean toward keeping their game's economy stable enough as a whole to avoid the destruction of the game. It can generally be assumed that Nexon's intentions in economic fiddling are either good for the game or the company (Meso sinks like Maker crystal grading and Donation King medals being good for the game, things like Gach boxes being good for the company, even if they totally pineapple up a few items).

The term natural inflation itself is a contradiction. Inflation is never natural and always caused by human actions. Your examples are also of human interactions. If you're referring to the prevailing trend of inflation in most economies over a period of time then that's simply the natural RATE of inflation, not inflation itself. =) Unless we do a complete 180 and go with inflation caused by natural disasters... but that point is completely moot in this particular discussion. =P

Thanks, I figured packet editing would be the most likely way to do this. As I said before, the fact that mesos are impossible to uniquely identify without crushing the back end database server.

I think somebody bought out the Fm of said items and sold them back at a higher price, therefore releasing a huge inflation.

you know instead of whining about it you can try to take advantage of the situation. do some glove attack quests or buy from secondary markets to resell in free market. i went from 100 mil to my name to over a bil since this patch and it's all been done due to rising prices, secondary markets, and a good free market spot.

I'm a level 57 slinger with less than 20mil. I've probably done all the quests that give rewards like that. I have barely enough NX for a 1 week store, and I'm not using that till we get maker because I have 100 diamonds to sell.

But that's not why I'm complaining.

I'm complaining because people who already had hundreds of billions of mesos decided to make more in a way that rips off players in every server in the game.

LOL, im poorer than all of you.

Ive never had more than 7mil (I currently have 3mil, purely from grinding) at any point, and I rarely use mts.
I just scavenge the FM for deals.

Besides not eating into the inflated items at hand, only other solution I can see to this is... a hopeless attempt to spam Nexon about these sites and see if they can either shut them down or interupt their trades (such as the ideas Collect mentioned).

Course, I really doubt that'll happen. I plan to wait this out, I never really bought much from the market to begin with.
