Oblivion Map 4 = SEX
#1
I don't know if anyone else has found this out yet, but I finally mustered up enough boredom/courage to try out Oblivion map 4 for 2x exp. It turns out, the solo EXP there is better than the solo EXP I've been getting at Skelegons! At Skelegons, I was getting about 7-8% an hour. At Oblivion Map 4, I'm getting 13 - 14% an hour. <3 The only put-down for it is that my HP is 7.7k and they deal up to 4.8k damage, so I have to use a potion after every hit, or I'll die in two shots. =/ Has anyone else fallen in love with this map as much as I have?

I also enjoy soloing at this map. It's slightly faster than Skeles solo and much easier to navigate. The drops are better too.

However, walking back and forth without Mystic Door is rather inconvenient.

I'm going to try soloing there for 2x this friday and see if it's better than skeles.

around wat lvl should be good here, or wat lvl of the skill...max ds,11 SI and max barrage?
and how's the experience compare to skele PARTY, meaning a bishop on top with 2 attkers including me?
and how's the experience compare to leeching @ skele as well XD

Bottoming skeles with a bishop is going to be faster, due to HS and insane kill rate.
Not sure with 2 attackers, exp actually goes down in that case from the above.
As for Oblivion 4, you want to be able to take a 4700 hit safely, and need to be able to kill them pretty efficiently. The more dragon strike you have, the better - I'd go here as soon as it's maxed, as the mobbing potential here is insane. Barrage helps a ton as well to pick off stragglers. The basic idea for warriors is Rush, mob attack, rush, mob attack, etc. Repeat until corner, spam mob attack. Obviously it's a little more complicated with Buccs (depends on how much you want to get hit vs how fast you want to kill). Rushing is also a little more difficult for Buccs, so you should focus on mobs of 4-6 vs mobs of 10+.

As for leeching, I don't know a damned thing, but training is going to be faster after 13x or so.

I'm still far from 3hkoing the Captains anyway, so I'm sticking to Oracles/Skeles for now. Won't have 4700 HP until level 166 or 167 though D:

Hell, I'm enjoying the oblivion monks (both types) even though I have a pretty healthy mix of 4 hit kills. Almost unnoticeably slower than solo skeles, but I like the change of pace.

/not Bucc

I'd say not to go there until you have either enough HP to survive effectively or not until at the EARLIEST of the late 14xs. I tried at 143 or so and it was hell. Now that I'm 149, it's pretty fun. I'd suggest having max Dragon Strike and a high level of Barrage (I'd recommend max). I won't start an arguement about SI, so I'll just leave that up for you to decide. As for me, I have level 11. I don't know about party exp, since I don't have people to train with, but I'm sure party exp at skelegons would destroy it. Bishops can't train effectively there, so it's not great for them. Well, leeching at that level isn't good ANYWHERE, so I'll just leave that question at that...

I'm already having fun at regret 5, which equals skeles for me.

The map is very costy when it comes down for pots, my HP is roughly at the same stage as yours (7.8k). Haven't tried 2X there but I can say from just doing the quest gave good EXP.
And it's a pretty long walk if you don't have someone to door you up xD.

For some reason, I can't play as well as that guy did in one of the youtube video, I tend to get even when I try maximized my invincible frames (Corkscrew -> Barrage -> Repeat). And is it me or does he have ALOT of HP in that training videos?

I can get a party with bishop that can one hit skeles and with its mw boost I can (I think, im really really almsot sure) almost always 2 hit skeles unless they defence up, with Dragon strike. Is it worth for me going to any of those maps? Could a bishop do as good or better there, or is Restoring memory just always the best with ohko bishop? (btw the bishop dmg is like 90~105k so not a BUTTLOAD over the 100% ohko)

Thanks in advance

Well, if you read what I said, training with a Bishop at Skelegons is ALWAYS better than any other map, since Bishops have the elemental advantage there. Oblivion Map 4 is more of a solo/duo (with a class suitable for the map) for decent exp. The solo exp there is better than solo exp at Skeles, but I don't know about party, since I don't have anyone to party with there. You should do EXTREMELY well there with your 6.2k range (which is absolutely insane, by the way O_O), so if you're ever stuck training by yourself or are just bored and have nothing else to do, give it a try.

Bishes don't have elemental damage there so their damage crashes a lot... 60K~70K range... That's 3 hitters on most monsters there...

Haven't been there much. I might check it out at a higher level.

It will be awhile though. I'm 115 and still haven't started up on Newts Goggleemoticon

You can do constant 42.5ks with Dragon Strike at 15x? Wow...Not bad. Of course, it is slow as all hell...

Training with a Bishop at Skeles with you on the bottom is better. ToT is better Solo. This holds true for almost all mob classes (Marksman, Warriors, Buccs). Mages, however, do better at smaller maps like Newts/Skeles. Shadowers and Nightlords do better if they have high level venom, where their DPS isn't overkill. Corsairs can do either pretty equally from what I understand.

Which nightshadow map do you train at? The one I went to was just like Tornado Corridor and it was crap.
