The point I'm trying to get across is, please oh please (that is, if you can, I don't mean to be pushy but I know I am) make it distinguishable from the default skin. The default Invision Boards skin looks very different from that, and I don't mean just the color scheme. Just my two cents.

See, if I had my own vBulletin board I could do that. We don't have access to the theme editor here. The theme editor makes things ALOT easier. Making a theme like that without it might aswell be impossible.

IF however, is a free forum base, which is why there's alot of skins for it.

Quite honestly, I don't like the background. It's gotta be default, not "SPAAAAAAAACE!!"

Looks like I can't participate in this contest via CSS since I don't know how it works (in the Kajiti-style sense) and I can't be bothered to learn it now.

Changing the colors is easy but the images is where it really becomes complicated. The website layout is like a puzzle, you can't make the image too big, neither too small, so it's kind of limited.

I wanted to make rounded corners but that's way too complicated

The original skin is better. The new ones just look annoying. I personally say you just fix up the original skin.

I had a question about testing skins...there will be boards up at some point in which we can test our designs right? Or are they up already and I just can't seem to find them. I also want to know to what extent the code extends...like are we purely making up new CSS? or do we actually create an entirely new template with a different HTML structure? And if we are really just writing up CSS...can we add identifiers into the HTML code? Thanks.

Far as I know it's just css.

It'd be nice to have a unique identifier for stuff on the front page, though. The only thing that comes close is table.page (which still appears in at least one other place, so not as nice).
