It's actually a masterpiece, in my opinion. Dub was almost perfect. There was like one line that made me rage, that's all.

Dubbed version is what I got, and its awesome, but I hear that the new stuff added to the BluRay version make it even better.

Yes. Not only was it retarded, it was spoken with a retarded tone.

I find it funny that Cid is a fighter in the movie :O

Cid is awesome. Airshippan' and all. More so because he actually lives through the game in this one.

Connect the Dots: Interesting, Barret is also the voice of Jet Black from Cowboy Bebop (english dub version)

I found the dubbing horrible mainly because it was the movie sequel to a long standing favorite classic game of mine. I just find most dubbing crap because the voice actors sound like they don't CARE. At all. They just read the lines off a piece of paper into a microphone, worse than George Bush does. They don't put their heart into the characters they've been assigned, like the original voice actors do.

Looking at the translation, (The unofficial one, as the official ones always change things around for some unknown damn reason.) I see that the dubbing changed a lot of words to lip sync, and that a lot of the characters were given the old "American diversity" bullcrap. It's like Love Hina's dubbing, where one girl had a southern Texas accent, another some accent from Canada, so on and so forth, and they're all from Japan with full Japan mother and father's. Seriously, Yufie calls Sephiroth a BUG in the dubbing.

I also was disappointed because I figured that Square cared about it's customers enough to actually change the movie a bit, since it was CG, to make the American dubbed version have different lip movements to match. That would have been cool. Also, this was one of the first movies where I was going to actually care about different angles, (Some movies have different angles you can watch the movie at.) but they didn't do that, even though it was possible with CG.

Still one of my favorite movies, though. I plan on getting the Blue-Ray version once I get my PS3. If they released the 160GB with the movie, they'd have me instantly.

On-Topic, I plan on watching Ghostbusters with my girlfriend. Huzzah!

Rawr, I want that! It's cheaper than the 160GB here in America too... Hmm... Wish I had the money already! It isn't limited edition, is it? I hope it comes to America. Just in case, I think I'll save up, and get the Japanese imported version, and just get a transformer so it works on my American wattage. Rolleyes

Unless it comes to America. Then I'll buy that instead. God, I wish that was mine already!:zzz::zzz::zzz:

Edit: Nevermind, saw the links. Sheesh, it's limited, and only in Japan with no mention of American release. I doubt it'll come to America, as the MGS4 and GTA4 never came... Damn, I need $500 to throw away, fast.
