Wondering what happened to Nxprose/NXJoe?

Hi everybody,

As some of you may have noticed there has been a decreased presence on our community boards from NxJoeW and NxProse. Before any assumptions and speculations are made, we would like to inform you of some recent changes here at Nexon America. NxJoeW and NxProse have decided to pursue other opportunities, thus are no longer part of the Nexon family. We felt the community would like to know about this.

We wish NxJoeW and NxProse the best on their future endeavors and we hope you will do the same.

It sucks that seemingly some of the most competent workers have left nexon. Hopefully they get paid more and actually got a new job and didn't get sacked for wasting time appeasing players:p.

Nope. Employees who leave a company are still legally obligated to retain any corporate secrets they had under threat of being sued into oblivion.

They would've signed confidentiality agreements when they were hired to ensure that.

Seriously, you can't know how bad I'm feeling right now. Right now, I just want to quit MapleStory. Really.

I can't believe they quitted. They were the two people who had the best interaction between the company and the users. I've felt a "silence" from NEXON's part lately, and I've been worrying about them, but I hoped that they would've returned with their Q&A's and that NxProse would've kept updating "The Chronicles of Masteria" thread, but I guess I was wrong. Right now, I have no favourite NEXON staff person, and I really hope that someone will take their place. Even if, right now, I think that NOBODY and I repeat NOBODY will be able to take their place. Really, I liked them. Maybe their jokes weren't the best, but they always tried to do their best at work, and they improved the interaction between NEXON and the users.

Now, I feel bad. Now I feel that NEXON doesn't care about MapleStory players anymore. NxProse and NxJoeW were the ones who cared the most about the new updates, like Masteria ones, etc.

Now, the last post in the GM blog was almost three months ago, and it's sad. Recently (last months) I've felt that something was changing with NEXON.. maybe not everyone felt that "change". Well, I did.

Well.. what's left to say is a big "good luck" to them with their lives and hopefully they will find a good job.. good as them.

Sigh.. I'm really sad.

Am I the only one that finds this suspicious? Like the goggles and monocle, it seems like they browsed SP, saw the QnA thread, saw that we were STILL talking about NXProse and decided to talk about it.

Their timing is always too convenient for me to believe it's just a coincidence.

oh yeah, RIP NXProse (soon to be BlizzProse) and NXJoe (soon to be... something... Joe...)

This is exactly what I was waiting for. Seriously, man? I do not understand the people who actually miss these guys, like they did anything that great for MS anyway. Wanting to quit over this crap? The hell. These douchenuts (all of Nexon's employees) should not be affecting us (the players) that much. As long as they continually update the game and fix/limit major screw ups, that is ALL we should care about. Unless you're not in this to play some Maplestory? That's why I made an account.

Interaction? Yeah, right. Even these two weren't near as good as they should be. Better, yes. Good enough to actually be liked? No. Nexon has never had anyone who actually cares about the players and wants to make the game more enjoyable for them. These two were better, which isn't saying much. We don't need stupid blogs. We don't need their silly hyping. It changes nothing. Nothing about my MS experience has changed with or without these guys. Either way, it's identical. Get off thinking they actually made MS better.

What WOULD make MS better is if they got off their elitist dicks for a moment and realized fan forums are far superior to anything they could ever hope to be. Let us do the hyping. Let us do the extracting. What they need to do is take better care of their game, update it properly and FIX PROBLEMS. Not write blogs and pretend to care.

That aside, I do hope they've found something better. I'm glad they were smart enough to get away from Nexon.

I sorta liked NxProse.

They just need to keep teasing us with future content, that's all I really care about. And they've been kinda doing that lately, hopefully they'll continue to do it in the future.

Let us do the hyping. Let us do the extracting. What they need to do is take better care of their game, update it properly and FIX PROBLEMS. Not write blogs and pretend to care.

What I'm suspicious about is how suddenly they dissapeared from NEXON, which makes me suspect that NEXON used the "They left" excuse to cover up their act of firing them.

I liked them (in a non-homo way blah blah..). I liked their hyping. They were two nice guys. And they hyped the new content a lot more than now.

Remember that, after NxProse left, there are no other GM Blog posts about hyping new content.

I wonder if they started a private server cause GMS sucked too much and got fired.

Probably they waited for Prose to finish CWKPQ before firing him (If they did) I guess we wont see new Masteria Content in a long time. Probably they didn't agree on focusing on DFO ass the rest of the staff and got fired. Another reason to hate that game
