Striker Suggested Build (2nd/3rd)
#21
You're supposed to max dash in first job anyways, idk what all of you are talking about.
I have, as a striker, max straight, max kick, 1 sprite, max dash, max quick motion.
Sprite is useless past 30...

So, I've been thinking pretty heavily about a 2nd job striker build. 1st job build is pretty much set in stone. 2nd job is hard, since there are so many good skills. 3rd job is pretty much as straightforward as it can get.

I like what you have done with the 'get booster to 11 in 2nd job, then max later in 3rd job' thing. You still max all the necessary skills.

But anyways, here is what I was thinking for a 2nd job build...

 My 2nd Job Build

Got 1 point in CSB before mastery just for mobbing purposes and to maneuver around maps faster.

Reason to get Lightning Charge before Energy? Truckers and Slimeys. Lots of people train in Singapore at those two places; Truckers are weak to lightning, Slimeys are weak to lightning. I personally stayed at truckers from level 50 to level 71 on my Bucc, so that seemed like a no brainer for me to get Lightning Charge first.

Energy was left at level 10 because 10 is a nice, clean number for Energy Charge. +15 Wep attack, +10 Acc/Avoid, 40 Seconds, 20% chance of Stance, etc. Nice, clean numbers. I then proceeded to get Energy Blast to level 11 so Blast hits 3 mobs, then proceeded to max out Energy Charge.

I'm following matt's build but with variation.
What I'M doing is leaving buster at 19 and moving booster up to 12 so that lightning charge syncs with booster, and it makes easier macroing and that 6% more damage for buster is insignificant.

Steve, lightning charge is 140 seconds. Level 12 booster does not sync. Take that point out of mastery, perhaps? That is just one accuracy.

Blast is fairly useless unless it's maxed, and since you're maxing it so late...

I agree with everything until when you start adding into charge. At first it might sound like a good idea to just do the same thing that most marauders do, but there isn't much point. Level 10 energy charge has almost the same charge rate as level 16 for marauders. I suggest you just get 10 charge and max blast as soon as possible. It's not like level 10 will charge slowly. You're at MP3 destroying slimies (weak to lightning ftw) and everyone knows how mobby that place is.

Well it'll sync BETTER. But yea, I'll probably leave it out of mastery.

Yeah, I was sort of thinking along the same lines of either maxing it, or trying to just do both at once. It does kind of seem like a waste to get it to 11, then max it later, because what is 3 more levels compared to how fast people will be leveling? I'll change the build a little more to look somewhat like this...

 My 2nd Job Build

Looks a little better now, I suppose.

I wouldn't even put that 1 point into blast when you just get charge personally. You're not going to use it, what's the point? Then again, what's the point of blast in the first place? It only fully replaces SSK for less than 10 levels (and that's assuming you use it after level 11 where it hits half the targets SSK can for not even 1.5x the damage) and then shark wave replaces both of them. Why bother?

I got 11 buster in 4x or 5x, I don't remember.
It's very useful because i can easily SP>buster>SP>buster and just continuously OHKO at C-2 (giving more exp/hr), rather than SP>ssk>ssk>SP>ssk>ssk and flail like a noob ALL the time, rather than just when I don't have bubble charged yet. Also buster is much faster, so I could do 2 busters and anihilate 6 in the time it takes to finish one kick and moving forward to hit that same mob again.

I do suggest max Buster and Charge earlier on, it is much faster and easier training. Then again you people in gMS have lowlevel lightning weak monsters. ._.

ONTO 3RD JOB!
After hitting level 78 I added 1 point into Sparks, wonderful wonderful wonderful.
It is so useful. At Blue Kents I can keep mobs and make mobs with it, and with it it is almost like shooting 2 sharks in one even if sparks only hits 2 at the moment (which I think may be wrong cause I see it hiting more than one sometimes idk maybe I am seeing things.)

You should try out Drain with Sparks. I saw it on a vid somewhere and it's hilariously fast! Tongue

I have!
I felt like a I/L Archmarge 8r
And the range is quite awesome, I've had an instance at pirates where I was sharking mid plat and it chained to top plat monster then chained back down to another. xD
Also when I was helping a friend at cube slimes it was a perfect match up it want direct diagonal from top plat to floor!
So fun. 8)
Makes Kenting a little easier too.
