Ice Splitter vs Fake Shot?

So this is kind of a different question than your normal Ice vs Fake.

Im lvl 70, with 37 SP (xP) and im wondering if its worth it to Max Fake, now that ill be in my 3rd job using Ice...

I really never used it in training, but will it be useful later on? I dunno, maybe on Ice monsters of Time Temple? Ive used Granade alot more...

Also, is it truly recommended that Wings and Recoil are maxed? Cause ive kept them at 7 (Wings) and 15 (Recoil) cause I like their distance... but dunno how useful their maxed.

I know that most people (if not all) max recoil and wings... not sure about the fake shot one though.

I'm only lvl 49, so you can take my advice with a grain of salt, but I'd say yes to fake. One grenade is all that's required from a luring/odd sniping scenario and fake, though less useful when you have ice splitter, still is useful for monsters immune to ice. Even if you only use it a few times during an event or something of that nature, it seems like it'd be more worthwhile than grenade.

As for wings and recoil shot, I'm just getting used to them myself, and I can't help but think that they only get that much better when they finally get maxed. If you really are unsure about it, try throwing in one more point into each, testing them out during training or just goofing around. That should give you a good idea what that level would be like, then you can put it up some more if you want, or if you really preferred the previous amount, you can take some out with some sp resets.

Yes, max fake shot. Ice splitter arguably won't replace Fake shot until it's at 21, although I started using Splitter earlier just because I didn't have enough room on my controller for both moves :p

I'm more curious about where you train that you actually use it (in 2nd job at least). I never used Blank Shot regularly, training on Golems then Windraiders and maxing it last. Ice Splitter replaced it on my keyboard, but I'll put it back on for unfreezable monsters.

I did Golems ---> Hoo/Voodoos ---> Windraiders ---> Stormbreakers

Never used it at golems

Used it at Hoodoos since my KB damage sucked

Didn't use it at the first windraider map, but when I went to Cavern of something and at the wind hall place in the keep at 67/68ish, I used it tons.

Well ive mostly trained at Magatia, switching between Iron Mutes/Neos/Roids dependong on what i wanted to train on. Also, i tried Voodoos around lvl 60 (i agree that fake shot was probably needed here, but i had fun avoiding them and doing wierd manuevers with Recoil or Wings to jump them :p) I also trained at Stone Golems Ruin for some lvls.

I felt that stunning monsters would probably be a waste of time, so i trained by mobing some up together with Granade/Invis, killing/luring that lone monster with DS, andthen just killing the mob with Invis or w/e.

So just cause I liked how far Recoil shot me, liked Wings falling speed at 7, didnt really mind having Booster at 9 (cause i used it to calculate exp%/hour) and I didnt really know if i was going to get Granade or Fake, i leeched? Thats cool...

Anyways, I got Granade upto 16 (hits 6) Booster upto 15 (2:30mins) and Fake is at 11. Maxed Recoil and Wings. I still got 9 SP, so im thinking about leaving Booster/Granade at these lvls, and maxing Fake, if it really is worth it in the end

Just wondering if having Booster at 15 can hurt at Bosses or something...

Chill brah. I don't care if you leeched. With everyone leeching nowadays, it's not that arrogant to assume someone with 37 unused points leeched. Even by pre-leeching standards, leaving 37 points just sitting there is pretty retarded.

Just max booster/wings/recoil. There's a reason everyone maxes them.

The only second job skills that you'll need after second job are

Mastery
Booster
Wings
Recoil

Well, the time difference with booster is proven to increase your %/h because you have to cast it less, and the distance you gain with recoil will increase your kills per hour...so...

Already maxed Recoil+Wings. Only 9 SP left, with 15 Booster/16 Granade/11 Fake...

Just max Booster. Does not matter at all if you get Blank Shot or Grenade, don't go insane making the decision. Both skills are ultimately useless. Blank Shot has a few niche applications, but you're not going to be unable to train or anything. You just might take a bit more damage killing Blue Wyverns or Crimson Guardians. Not like you'll be training on those anyway.

Oh well already Maxed Fake....

I'll try and see how 15 Booster works out. If anything, theres always SP Reset
