Just 2 questions:

- Can you "upgrade / rebuilt" current items with the item maker skill? (if yes, will the scrolled stats dissapear after an upgrade?)

- Can you make ALL items in-game, or just class specific items? (Warrior / Mage / Archer / Thief / Pirate - only). (e.g. Can you make (or upgrade?) blue sauna's / pink adv capes?).

no (yes if equips are required, but the stats would disappear) and no.

So, uhm:

- No, you can't re-built items.
- Yes, all stats dissapear -if- you need excisting items to create a new item (like maple shield upgrade?).
- No, you can only make class specific gear.

Am I correct? Tongue

Yes except #3 is actually "You can only make class specific gear that's above level 40"
ie: no Esthers.
It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.

ArbalistMaster Wrote:prices of new things tend to start up very high and drop down as time passes. I'd imagine that the same will apply for maker: as more time passes, more people discover maker and start appraising jewels, more graded jewel sellers come into the market. Competition = lower prices.

Thing is that all the diamond hoarders will try to dump their stash on day one, leading to a massive influx of diamonds. Unless the demand is absurdly high, prices might drop until the initial wave of hoarders passes, and then spike because there are no more diamonds around.

Also, in economies with maker, are the prices of ores more or less 1/10 of the jewels or not?

Is it not 50?

Maple Economics. srs business.

Now i can't use this information on my econ final cause it was yesterday D:

The economy in maple is gonna go bezerk in the first month i think cause it's the "new" thing to try out, but it should mellow out as time goes by. Everything does.

In a sense you can - you can "disassemble" items that exist, and for higher stats (ie above average) you get more monster crystals appropriate to the item level. I don't know if this includes scrolled stats or not. You need the monster crystals to forge new equips.

I see Maker causing, if anything, deflation overall. That's why it'll be smart to convert your ore fortune into mesos as quickly as possible. Grading is going to take huge chunks of mesos out of the economy soon enough, and since newbies who find sapphires are selling them to other players who got their mesos in (usually) the normal way, that isn't causing inflation.

It may cause an equalization of prices of sorts for lower-level equips, but I still doubt it... leveling is fast enough these days, at least below level 80 or so.

Maker replaces pre-NLC potions as a major meso sink in the MS economy: Yes or no? :f6:

B > 5 atk below avg lvl 100 weapons 500k each. <3

Then again, this gives me yet another motivation for daily dual pap runs. Although lvl 90 weapons don't really look all that hot to Make (new verb?), it'd be nice to turn a few Vifenis into a better-looking Fairfrozen, or several pairs of Green Cresent Boots into a Pinaka, hey, I can have hopes. My question is - did Maker's release in JMS decrease the massive inflation they have there?

Not sure what it did to inflation. However, if I remember correctly, it cost hundreds of millions just to get maker level 3. That is what I read on JMS forums, atleast.

I believe that jMS had hyper inflation.

Not "correct" that either. Stonetooth, Raven's Claw, Raven's Wing, Elemental Staves and Wands and so forth are class specific gear, yet not possible to make as of right now.

Which ended with the Medals and Neo Tokyo Release.

Now everything is back to normal prices, but theres still some expensive stuff out there like 5 STR Crystals and the Mastery Books of course..

Just a quick note... appraising hoarded crystals is probably a dumb idea. Not only will you statistically probably lose money, it'll also literally take hours and hours to appraise your stacks, assuming you have a significant amount, as each takes like 5-10 seconds to appraise, and you'll have to free up a ton of etc. space with a lot fuss with MTS storing and whatnot. Does anyone know if any items directly used in forging (graded crystals, etc.) are MTSable, and if so, which ones? o.o

Yes.

Donation medals is probably one of the best meso sinks ever created though.

in cass..all stuff related to INT always cost higher than stuff related to WA..i haf no idea why..probably we have much more mage compare to other job...as u can see the room of Grendel the REEAAAllly OLD is full wif tons of statue while other job only haf, like uhms, 1 or 2?(in cass)
tat y saphhire that related to MA is much higher than diamond tat related to WA

That's true in gMS as well, where the high level mage population is roughly equal to twice that of combined other jobs. Even if about 1/3 of said mages are actually alternate accounts of other high leveled people, and used as leech mules. Blargh, I hate the idea of a character made only as a tool for another character, it seems wasteful...
