ZottenKerel Wrote:Rofl where did you get this? I was replying to the discussion he had about 'abusing' the no delay in animation while transformed.
This has nothing to do with my knuckle, which I think you're implying.
But yes, for that reason if people want to peach at my knuckle I can play the card that them using rep during 2x is just as bad as an 'abuse' of glitch so they would be hypocrits to go around about doing that.
I find it really sad you have to flame and rip completely off topic btw.
...?
I was referring to you using the barrage+demo glitch, but I enjoy having words put in my mouth, too, so it's all good.
Anyway, I noticed that I tend to have trouble staying invincible at places like himes with CSB; latency problem that's going to lead to trouble whenever I finally hit Bucc, maybe?

Is it plausible to dance at bottom/middle newties? I tend to corkscrew--> barrage/dragonstrike. I seem to use a ton of pots even though i can stay invicible for a good couple of seconds before getting scraped.
I found dancing easier at flatter maps like the skele/golem mix map (idk what it's called).
Corkscrew is a life saver sometimes.

There's only like 3-4 Newties that you'll always be hitting at a time, unless you are partied with a nuker. In that case, you should mix Dragon Strike with Energy Blast and some Drains for good measure. CSB should only be to avoid damage or to round up Nest Golems with Newties. I'd BSB otherwise so Barrage can jump up in damage.

I find it pretty hard to do at skeles because of the immense spawn right now (restoring memory) that is always magic attacking you from every direction at all times. It will get easier once my dragon strike 100% 2hits, but that's not the case yet. I do tend to ellbow/csb sometimes while transformed now but I'm like SUPER careful with it.

Is that an exaggeration, or were you really spending that much potions per hour? o_o JMS doesn't have the skill updates and I use maybe 70 - 90 HP potions per hour at Skelegons and not very many MP potions due to MP Recovery. :f6: Even at your level, I wasn't using THAT many potions. lol

How defensively do you play, just wondering? For me, I don't spam Drain for HP since I go balls out in dancing around the Skeles to blast them in the face with another Dragon rawr or giving them a fistful of Jet Pistols . I would usually Drain only to finish off almost dead Skeles. I'm still hovering around 100-150 pots an hour at 138 right now, which incidentally varies with how often I Drain for HP. Do you have a pretty big balance of Barrages for good measure? Maybe if I use more Corkscrew Blows instead of Backspin Blowing for more damage I can lower my pot costs even more.

Um... I don't, really... All I do is Screw Punch > Dragon Strike > Screw Punch > random attack (Energy Blast if Energy Charge is charged) > Repeat. If I get hit, I either use Energy Drain to recover or a potion, but more than likely it'd be Energy Drain. Then, I just use MP Recovery for my MP.

I was referring to the TS original post in which he claimed to have used "400-500" pots an hour. I don't use 70-90 because I 1. dont have HB 2. play safely, I use pots if I think I'm going to die no matter what.
btw im 137 now not 12x as stated <- lololol

Yes, I sucked that bad when I started at Skeles.
Was 400-500 when started out, lowered to ~400. At best I was using 300ish an hour. Then Dragon Dancing came along, and poof. 100-150 pots an hour, meaning I pretty much break even or make a slight profit. Actually hell, I'm starting to profit there because of the scrolls they drop. Again, maybe I should try just CSB -> Dragon Strike and see how little pots I use then. I already use ~20-30ish pots an hour at Himes. Who knows how little I can use at Skeles if I really want to be pot savvy?

Well if you're training at the dungeon you'll use a lot because the bottom mob is so huge @_@

I've ONLY trained in the mini-dungeon since 12x. I never trained at the regular Skeles map. Why bother with 2nd best when the mobbier version is on the exact same map?

This is my findings:
While ds dancing, right after the 2nd ds, if you are within a mob touching damage area, no matter how fast you tap or release csb, you will still get hit. This only happens at the 2nd ds and so on.
This is how i see why: CSB>DS = 1 set of combo. At the 2nd set, you will start to notice there will be a slight delay (very minimal) between csb and ds.
It is not as fast as the 1st set where ds comes out right after CSB. Im not sure why, im not lagging either, but this is what happens to me. I can dance without getting hit only when my character is not within a mob touching damage area during ds, during and after the 2nd set, if it is within, its a 100% damage for me.
Not sure you guys understand what im trying to say though -.-

No you got a point. It's kind of strange, but I do notice after the 2nd time I start dancing there is a slight increase in the time it takes to use another CSB. In a sense trying to keep chaining the DS + CSB combo is a test of how reactive you can be.
I really need to upload a video of my own soon.

If in a mob it's a little more obvious that one would be smacked by touch damage and magic damage. I tried top newties yesterday and that was a little easier than the bottom cause the spawn was more spread out. I got touched a whole lot less often. I still managed to use around 50 honsters and 30 pizzas or so. I seem to never use my socerors... I've had them for a good 70 levels now and i've used 1...
