Energy Orb

Indignation Wrote:Holy moly! Barrage can stun! O.o Sorry if this is already known. I didn't know about it.

Can dragon strike crit if barrage was used before it?
Barrage stuns, but doesn't show the dizzy mushrooms 'round the monster. It's as if they forgot to include 'em.

So, yes, Dragon Strike can critical after Barrage, seeing as how Barrage stuns.

Also, how fast be Energy Orb?

930ms, on Faster (2).

If the range jumps up as high as you say it does, I'd like to see a video of max Energy Orb in the future from ya, Loose. Biggrin

this isn't maxed but shows how the shark at the bottom can be hit, then when he goes down to the next bottom platform and uses orb it's horizontal range suffers and can't reach the other 2

JoeTang Wrote:It's been stated several times already that the cooldown time for Dragon Strike was 2.25 seconds prior to the KMS skill updates.

nexon (can) always make mistakes, since the updates were a complete translation rip-off they might have wanted to replace DS updates with orb's and forgot to delete the DS part, Loose's video shows that he takes 2.x seconds to repeat another DS

don't forget energy attacks are supposed to be better than the normal form attacks, if not then the charging is totally useless in 4th job

Ick, horizontal issues? I saw the video on how a space gap wouldn't allow Orb to bounce. Sounds like a Shockwave problem all over again.

i don't think it would bounce up and down though if it had such problems, the sharks were probably just out of the orb's range, just like loose showed on the captains the shark on the bottom must have been at the corner of the range, while the gap that the platform made was just too much range for it to go that far, otherwise it would be like hacks on HHG1(hit one monster while the orb jumps up, then up, and again, hits the monster on the other end of the platform and bounces down, down, even more down and finaly stops)

But imagine how awesome it'd be if it DID let the orb bounce all over the place. It'd be like a Maple version of pinball. It may even have had the chance to be more fun than Dragon Strike if they let the Orb ricochet like mad.

The same can be said for shockwave. What's your point?

shockwave has already been proven horrible, no one is going transform/stun way anymore because SW only does higher damage than blast on 6 monsters and that's rarely the case where you have 6 monsters all the time, plus DS replaces SW in damage and range, orb is different because it out damages both blast SW and DS while still hitting 6 monsters

Let it begin!

Got my Dragon Strike to level 11, now it's time to max Energy Orb (currently at level 2).

Nice.

Seems difficult to hit more than a couple monsters though.. is it?

Ive been wondering,

I dont really see why you would max energy orb before dragon strike. Even when energy orb is stronger in raw dmg and dps it still takes time to charge your energy. Meaning with maxed ds you can kill a lot faster then with a crappy ds waiting till energy is charged and then have 50 sec of "super" strenght.

Is that extra dmg (read: energy orb) for 50 sec really worth it not to max ds in the time you can't use energy orb?

Well, you see, there's this thing called "fun"...most games are supposed to make the player have some. Biggrin

Not really. Depends on the distance of the second monster from the first, I can aim it really well now. : )

The damage, I don't know if it's worth it. But watching the Orb bounce of multiple monsters sure is worth it!

to me the damage seems pretty worth it, 1000% more than DS to 6monsters in the same time is appealing to me, plus the orb looks fun and in a VERY crowded map if there were 18 monsters going for you you would always be able to keep them back as opposed to DS killing 6 while the other 12 charge at you

When does this ever happen?

you use orb, it hits the 1st monster killing it, hits the next leaves 2/3 hp and so on, the 2nd monster becomes the 1st monster, you gain a monster each time orb is used, you use DS it doesn't kill the 6 monsters, while you target the ones that have already moved closer, the ones you hit come back from their KB state and start charging forward again, thus advancing forward

and i just used the 18 as an example, plus i said IF
