For all the Gunslingers/Outlaws training at Lower Ascent.
#1
Hello all!

Seeing that I've been training at Lower Ascent for quite awhile now, I've come out with a map layout that would give you guys the maximum percentage gain at Lower Ascent with or without Double EXP. For me, having been on Double EXP for the past 20 or so days, I've gained a massive amount of percentage while training at Lower Ascent and I'd like to share with all of you guys on how you will be able to accomplish this.

So here is the map and the numbers are where you guys will be starting and ending from.

#1 - This is one of the platforms with the most spawns. Start off by freezing/stunning/grenading these Windraiders and get to near the platform you will be standing on. Remember to not stand to close to the edge of the platform because if you do so, you will be hit by the Windraiders magic attack. Always remember to stay in the halfway mark of the platform, you will be able to see it.

#2 - Kill the 2 Windraiders that spawn right after you finish your mob and teleport to the top.

#3 and #4 - #3 will enable you to snipe Windraiders without getting hit. If you want to go to #4, recoil and stun/freeze them right away. Otherwise, you will be knocked down to #6 or maybe even the platform next to #6 which contains Stormbreakers that can do a physical damage of up to 1400 without proper Weapon Defense equipments.

#5- There will only be 1 Windraider on this platform so kill it and head down to platform #6.

#6 - This is the platform right next to the Stormbreakers. You can either snipe them on platform #5 or go behind the halfway point of platform #6. If you want to kill the platform to the far left, remember to continuously stun the Stormbreakers. If they spawn, you will get hit and there is a chance you can die.

#7 - Jump down, recoil, and go down to the platform and stun/freeze them right away. Find a small safe spot and start spamming Burst Fire or Invisible shot.

#8 - Once you finish off platform #7, recoil and wings to the rope and climb up to platform #8. Once again, stun and freeze them otherwise you will get knocked down.

#9 - There will also be Stormbreakers to your right, far right, and Windraiders to your left. Stand right on the crack (each of your feet will be on the crack). Standing like that will not get you damaged by Windraiders nor Stormbreakers. Kill the Stormbreakers and Windraiders to your left and your right

#10 - This is where it gets a little tricky because you'll have to Jump + Shoot at the same time. First time will be a little annoying, but once you get how to jump and Burst fire right away, you'll kill those Stormbreakers in a flash. Now after killing the Stormbreakers, turn to your left and kill the Windraiders on that platform.

#11 - Jump down and start killing the Windraiders to your left and the Stormbreakers to your right. After finishing those 2 platforms, jump down to #12.

#12 - The 2nd platform with the largest mob. Recoil, Stun/Freeze and get to the platform to the left of platform 12 and start spamming Burst Fire or Invisible shot. Remember to stand behind the cactus to your right in order to avoid getting hit by Windraiders.

After finishing those 12 steps, repeat them again.

Well, that's my advice on how to train Windraiders efficiently. You guys can all try it and I hope to hear some results from you Gunslingers/Outlaws!

Questions I'd like to ask.

1) What are the benefits to here vs the Windraiders room deep in the CWKPQ area?
2) Doesn't this map require a lot of moving-around constantly?
3) What level did you start there, and what level do most Outlaws go from here to [insert whatever else monsters (such as Newties or Skeles)]?

I'd normally skip from #5 to #9 and only do platform 6-7 every 2nd time round the map, it's quite a bit out of the way for a few extra spawns unless you let it build up.

1) Do you think you might be able to name that room for me? Frown I haven't been anywhere else except Path of Peril, Cavern of Pain, and Lower Ascent.

2) It does require moving around, but by training at this map, you're using much more skills then while you're at Jr. Newties or the other places you'll be training. The skills I use are pretty much: Recoil, Wings, Octopus, Gaviota, and Burst Fire. Those are quite a few for me. Biggrin

3) I started here during my late 6x. If I try to remember, maybe I started at 67 with the help of a friend getting my past the Forgotten Path. As for leaving Lower Ascent, that depends on your build.

My Corsair buddies tell me that I shouldn't be going to Jr. Newties yet (even though I'm level 92) due to the horrid exp I'll be getting by only killing 1 Jr. Newtie every 20+ second (due to spawning time). So all of them suggested that I still go snipe Stormbreakers at Cavern of Pain.

Hope my answers answered your questions! Cool

That's true seeing that the most spawns I've had without killing the 2 other platforms of Stormbreakers (far left and far right) only gives me 4 Windraiders at platform #7.

I don't think this is a very efficient method until you can kill Stormbreakers in 4-5 hits. Strombreakers take much longer than Windbreakers to kill if you're 6x or low 7x and only provide 2x the experience. The right side of the map is a waste of time until you can make use of the Stormbreaker platforms.

My method was going from 1-4, recoiling down to the platform on the right side of 5, killing the lone Windraider there, dropping down to the fat platform between 8 and 9, recoiling over to 7, wings + recoiling over to the platform above 11, dropping down to 12, and returning to the original position. I made a video at some point...

This minimizes travel and positioning time.

Hmm, I guess the layout I came up with was for an early 8x Outlaw that had max Burst Fire.

Watching your video, it seems that outlaws are really bad at windraiders. O.o
It took too long to clear one platform. I'm sorry if you are offended by this but this is what I saw.
