Screwing over the Alcaster quest
#1
Well, I was doing the Alcaster Book of Ancient quest the other day, which involves a massive boring quest chain. I wasn't really paying attention while hopping up/down Orbis Tower, and I accidentally forfeited the quest during the 2nd part of the chain.

I thought I could go accept it again, but this blank box is stuck in my In Progress tab.
 Spoiler

I tried talking to Alcaster, Jake, & Elma, all who I needed to talk to during that part of the chain, & they all have normal dialogue not relating to the quest at all.
So does forfeiting a quest in the middle of a chain completely screw up the quest, or is there some way to fix it?

Edit: This got fixed around a week ago. Anyone digging up this thread with the same problem - It appears to be caused when forfeiting a quest chain while it says the current quest in the chain can be completed (the flashing icon). It got fixed for me in about 2 months after it glitched originally; just give it some time to fix itself.

Did you try relogging? That fixes most of quest stuffs.

That's what I thought when I forfeited the fossil study quest too (with the weight earring, did it on purpose because I can't be screwed hunting for one), the same thing happened, but it fixed itself later, and I have now completed the quest.

Maybe a server maintainance does it?
