Secret Quest reward?

So, I'm sure most of you did the Blocktopus Keychain quest already. But, when I was doing this, I inadvertently discovered a secret.

many months ago, I saw in the Freemarket a strange item called "Blocktopus Blueprint." I had no idea what it was for; I had never seen it in KMS and there was no quest that would demand it. It was for sale for a huge price, but I decided to see if Blocktopus dropped them. I went down there for about ten minutes, and found the Blueprint. Still nothing appeared, so I held onto it.

Fast forward 8 months to now. I went up Eos tower to get the Keychain, came back down, and talked to Dr. Kim. Dr. Kim goes about his normal text, when suddenly:

Yep. He took the Blueprint too, and gave me the Scroll in exchange. As I see it, the normal quest with just the keychain doesn't give that. So, secret reward for going beyond the quest's requirements?

My haste in doing quests hurts me yet again!

When will I ever learn to wait a day.

Anyways, any secret reward to turning in multiple 100-year-old bellflower root things? I only turned in 2 and got a Red Pot. D:<

No, it doesn't. It just gives you a better (extra) reward, more to read and an added sense of accomplishment.

Iirc, it's a level 35 stand-alone quest. All it does is have you get one keychain. o_o

Mr. Ku in Herb Town, who asked for "as many bellflower roots as you can". You just need 1 for the quest, but I was curious so I hunted up 100.

Sure enough he took them all and upped the reward. Still, he said something like "well, this isn't enough, but it'll have to do". Anyone want to try getting 200/400/1000?

took me 15-20mn to get the print, also there's a hint at the begining of the quest: he's asking for a manual but he says it's too rare and just the keychain will do.

I gave him 1002.

He seemed very pleased



and gave me 60% overall for dex, 50 power elixirs, and 54k exp.



As an aside, while getting all that, I only managed to find ONE Sr. Bellflower card for my Monster Book.

I believe it is. It's one of a kind though.

I didn't bother for the blueprint, Shoes Dex doesn't seem like a great reward to me. (That and I was in the middle of Eos Tower with no inventory space.)
