New pokemans?

Meh...starting pokemans again (Diamond). Not sure if I still have Ruby somewhere as well...

Prob gonna use Turtwig this time, as I haven't started with him yet (gonna keep resetting til I get a female though. Yay breeding).

No because dittos are genderless and turn into said pokemon paired with, thus laying a egg.

That's a retarded idea because it defeats the entire useful purpose of breeding.

The useful purpose of breeding being? Breeding anything with a ditto causes the egg to be the "anything" (not the ditto). Easier way to breed IMO.

My ditto has gone from lvl 11 - lvl 60 just on breeding and staying in the day care.

But the usual point of breeding is to pass certain moves that certain pokemon don't learn.

Such as breeding a Floatzel w/Aqua Jet and and Azumarrill results in a Marrill with Aqua Jet -- a move it can't normally learn through leveling (and it's not a TM)

CAN'T DO THAT WITH A DITTO. 8(

There's also the whole breeding for stats thing, but that's just too much to explain.

@Baklava: Oh yea...completely forgot about the "EGG" moves.....I usually just breed to get another of that type of pokemon. IE: Getting an Evee to get all branches of the Evee family.

Am I misunderstanding some of your posts? Isn't the ditto just for getting a female version of it? So then you can breed the new female baby with the male you have the egg moves on.

The eggs are always the same gender of the pokemon you used with the Ditto.

I for one do not like pokemanz where their only move is Transform. Very useless compared to other possibilities with breeding.

It will never learn Transform nor result in a Ditto Egg unless both parents are Dittos.

Can't breed Ditto and Ditto. They just keep melting into each other and cannot sex each other up properly for egg creating.
