I was at the fm channel 1 trying to sell my recently aquired level 80 pirate overall spamming "S> LvL 80 Pirate Overall" when some random guy named VCxUchiha or something like that trades me and says: "Can i ask you a quick question?" i answer: "sure?" seconds later I'm booted to log in screen and when I try to log in this message appears:
![[Image: mh6czo.jpg]](http://i43.tinypic.com/mh6czo.jpg)
wtp? is that some new strange hack?
I'm still on rankings and my account on nexon's site is seemingly intact. I changed my password right away anyway.

Him trading you and you getting banned might or might not be linked.
As for the rankings, that's because it takes awhile for the rankings to update. I think you'll find that later on you'll be off ranks

It also could be a GM mistake... Its a far shot , but perhaps they read you spamming "S> Lv 80 Pirate" instead of "S> LvL 80 Pirate Overall"

Is autobanning used very much for that sort of thing?
This is actually the first time I've heard of a person being banned for this reason (Not saying that I think that makes it fake, just that it couldn't be very common at all)

I was pretty surprised as well, now that you say it, it may have been because of misinterpretation as "lvl 80 pirate". I'm pretty scared to lose a 4 year old account.

I just sent a ticket about it =P

But that raises another question.
What on earth is account selling under if it isn't that? I know it's against the rules, and surely it's a bannable offence o_o
Also, could that image not have had the white space trimmed off it to stop it stretching the page?

Autobans trigger a "GM Police" message, and can't permaban.

They no longer honor that chart. It hasn't been updated in years, and haven't followed it's guidelines in almost as long.
They banned me for 7 days for an "inappropriate" smega when that chart only warrants 3 for a first offense and when I pointed that out I got a very terse "I was within my rights to ban you as long as you got and you'll like it or I'll add more" type reply.
Thanks GmCrash. May I recommend how you might best sodomize yourself with the nearest ?

Isnt it very rare for Nexon to overturn a permanent pan? They do hate admitting their mistakes after all.

Maybe I'm remembering wrong, but didn't they overturn a bunch of hacker perma bans?

Wow, that really sucks. I'm glad Nexon JP doesn't ban for crap like that (even though the last time there was a GM sighting in JMS was two to three years ago)... Try typing up an extremely formal letter and sending it to Nexon explaining in full detail what you were doing before that ban took place. I hope this is over-turn for you.

Were you by any chance standing on top of an advertiser? The GM could've thought you were the one advertising by mistake and banned you instead of them.

Scary, to say the least. When you add your experience to the rumors floating around on Mardia about things like this happening it is cause for concern. Most people I play with regularly have stopped taking chats or trades from anyone they don't know. With my very limited understanding of the workings of computers and programs I tend to err on the side of caution. (Yes, I am a computer dummy! No real surprise, right?) However, I am not inclined to spread unfounded information, that is one reason I visit this site on a regular basis; I want to stay informed.
I would be interested in knowing what the potential risk is in trading and chatting. I am unable to see the risk, please enlighten me.
As to the banning, it seems to me that this would have to be an error on the part of the GM that tagged you. Lets face it, FM areas are overwhelming in the number of messages popping in at the bottom of the screen. Picking the correct individual out of the masses would be a tedious task that many of us would not like to have to deal with as a job assignment. Unfortunately, the chance of an innocent getting banned is fairly high. I find that buddies, guildies and allies make the best potential buyers when I do not have a shop, in this way I avoid the FM hassles. Hopefully you will receive a positive outcome from your ticket.

Well in the situations where they mass auto-ban they often do. But I was referring to one on one personal cases. I dont really make that clear in my post.

If I recall correctly, there's some way to change the GM Police. I think it was either by Ending the chat instead of clicking Next, Pressing Esc to close the GM Police NPC Text, Logging out, or Alt F4. I do recall some way of avoiding it if it pops up though. :f6:
Also, if GM Police pops up and you weren't doing anything illegal, why not just take a screenshot and submit it with your ban refute?
