Map Crashers

I'm not sure how widespread the issue is, but I know in Bera it's become a problem.

People can make a certain packet edit which involves a pet and causes whatever map they're on to crash.

This closes you out of maple completely and is seriously annoying when I go to leave my shop permit up in a decent FM spot / /

Has anyone else run into this problem, and can this be stopped through sc or must it be patched? :f6:

Happens to me every night. No one should be buying permits anymore, they are worthless now.

It is happening in Broa, but not on that wide of a scale. Last I checked, it happened in FM 11.

really old... bera's fm is completely empty, only some meso sellers and mushie stores.

Yeah seeing this in Bera...really annoying trying to sell anything in the fm when you get dc every few minutes...

These hackers can be found in Kradia too. Is it legal to try an attempt to overload servers on purpose? I think these kind of hackers, the ones that dont allow you to have fun on an MMO freely, that should be given the first priority in terms of banning.

I've seen them a lot lately, someone used it to try to steal my FM spot while i was trying to Reopen my mushi store, thank god i could do it before being d/c.

Yeah it is getting pretty bad in Khaini. A couple of days ago they were DC'ing people in most of the FMs.

I don't think they are actually crashing the maps though, since when I logged back on, I noticed that the characters with permits (not just mushroom stalls) at the further side of the map were still in place. Just the ones near the entrance were removed. This may be a clue as to what the hackers are doing.

Yeah, I don't really FM. I've played a fair number of times though.

It's mainly SirDCs, DoezX, ricebowi, and now one of the regular fm botters got his hands on it.. they've kept legits outta HT for about two weeks now, and it doesnt look like its gettin any better

we dont need "clues", its a spam hack. thats why people who are not in the spam range of the hacker dont get dced.

it is not the spam hack, what sirdcs, doexz use, dc the entire map, doesnt matter where you are, it close ur ms, i've see them doing it, its instant DC

OK, so maybe there are two types of hacks going on. One that crashes entire maps and one just DC's characters within a certain range.

As an aside, the hackers are presumably not DC'ing themselves or each other, so is there some way to avoid DC'ing, other than getting the hack yourself?
I have all chats etc turned off, and it made no difference.

i also wondered about it... meso sellers and hackers seem to avoid it.

one word, PE, its how they are holding ht cave, hold ht cave all day, then meso sellers kill ht late at night.

So those Advertising Nubs are doing some PEing to keep from D/Cing.

Now I can't get out of FM1.

I got d/c hacked while sitting there chatting with friends in the CH 10 FM ENTRANCE.

Really guys? Wtp.

Then it happened again later that night when I went to go see someone's "quitting sale" they smega'd. Fail. Poor quitting guy... waste of a smega, even though he did have a mushie... no one could buy because they were getting d/ced immediately on entering the room.

the "new" d/c hack seems reached windia today, few mins ago ( sat ,00:00 pst) guy was crashing everything on his way, fm 1, fm 2, entrance. now i hope nexon give some attention for this issue. is really out of control the way game is now
