Live from E3

Nothing much yet on PS3 except that Little Big Planet did a keynote on Playstation's records and it was nothing short of awesome. They're talking about the Playstation Network now.

Ah, I started my recording of the coverage that G4 is doing like an hour ago. Nintendo is going over their projected sales and pomegranate, which puts them in the lead. It's not a surprise. Animal Crossing doesn't look bad, the DS game was a lot of fun.

I think that they're botching the facts on the DS selling that many. Really doubt that.

They're showing off the new Wii Sports Resort. Katana Battles looks reallllllyyy fun. XD I like the whole idea of using the DS outside of games. Using a DS in a Ballpark, and even in an airport would be amazing.

Edit: LOLATAIRDRUMS. WiiMusic might be pretty cool.

why wouldn't FF13 come out for the PS3? It was advertised for the PS3 before the PS3 was even released. Just because they showed it on the XBox360 doesnt mean the PS3 isnt getting it.

Just wait, the air drums wont be as cool when you find out it plays them for you while you just wiggle around. You can wiggle in any direction and it would play the right stuff for you.

And PS3 is getting it, but with 360 getting it, the PS3 lost another game that was a huge "exclusive" to them. It also shows that Squaresoft has less faith in the PS3 than Sony would like.

Yeah Willow. I'm realizing it's going to be extremely gimmicky now. They just went though like 7 instruments and just failed their arms around and it played notes. What a shame, Nintendo isn't winning me over right now.

Lmao, Sony is losing exclusives left and right. That's good though, because I have a 360. The only reason I'll actually go out and buy a Ps3 is for Kingdom Hearts 3 or God of War 3.

PS3 has a decent line-up. Nothing gimmicky like the Wii. Still, God of War 3 was confirmed and Resistance 2 had an INSANE sequence with the fight against the leviathan. Little Big Planet gave an interesting display. They even had a shot at XBox Live and the Wii Shop by stating they weren't going to fill the PSN with games that noone wanted to play (as opposed to the tons of "meh" level games on XBox Live arcade and Wii Shop). The games look pretty decent. Nothing surprising enough to top the FFXIII on XBox announcement, but it looks like they're going to do ok. Second Lif---I mean, Home, was delayed again. But in the end, they did decent. Not bad, but not amazing. Better than Nintendo. Not as good as XBox.

Okay. I'm like half way though the Sony conference and so far I'm pretty excited. Still waiting for that God of War 3 news though. I cannot believe they just announced a Ps2 Lego Batman bundle, why are they still wasting their time with the Ps2? I don't want a new Ps2 bundle, I'd like a cheaper Ps3, or some good games. Little Big Planet and Resistance 2 look amazing, and could definitely make me get a Ps3.

Okay, I finished Sony's Conference. Wow, that was sooooo boring. The Little Big Planet demonstration on their sales and stuff was amazing. I recorded all 3 press conferences, Sony's was the only one I actually fast forwarded though, I couldn't bare it.

Resistance 2, Little Big Planet and God of War 3 are the only things really worth mentions. That stupid Home thing is like Second life, exactly what Willow said. Lol, I couldn't believe they announced a new Ps2 bundle, that really made me laugh. The the Psp, who cares. Nothing really interested me more than those 3 titles.

Also, I thought it was kind of funny that they released the Video store. They don't stand a chance against Microsoft. MS won the Multimedia part of the console wars, from their Market place to the partnership with Netflix, to watching a movie online with 7 other friends.

Microsoft came out the real winner of E3. Nintendo provided some interesting new things, while Sony didn't do much in my opinion.

Nintendo actually has a huge convention to celebrate 20 years of Nintendo Power (I am in Massachusetts, so I may attend.) in New York sometime early September.
Perhaps they are saving some of the real updates for that. (YA RITE)

In any case, I am a firm believer that gaming is meant for the PC, so aside from the 360-only portal thinger, I don't really care. <_<

The FFXIII announcement for the 360 was the biggest cockblock SquareEnix has ever done. "Hey guys, our PS3's got that cool new FF game! It's an exclusive! Yee...wait what? They broke our exclusive deal? WHAT THE pineapple SQUARE"

Can you sue for that? I'd sue. What assholes.

Nope, Square was fully within their rights. It wasn't contracted as exclusive. FF Versus XIII is supposedly still exclusive but god only knows.

I'm going to listen to Jack Thompson storming out of the courtroom at his case, then go to bed.
