Asiasoft: MapleStory Episode 2

As we know, Asiasoft had a poll on what people would think about a MapleStory Episode 2.

Asiasoft has already remade Ntreev's Grand Chase, and Nexon's Audition, into Grand Chase Season 2 and Audition Season 2.

They are now thinking about making a MapleStory Episode 2.

The big question to majority of the players is, Will it be a whole new game?

The answer is: No.

It will not be a new game. Just a big expansion add on w/ alot of changes.

As you can see in the source, a Asiasoft Moderator answers the question himself, confirming the question.

Does this mean the User's Characters will not be deleted? Yes. You will still have your characters (Check Updates)

As you can see, Asiasoft is completely serious about making an Episode 2, and also asking for player advice on what they would like to see in the game.


Now only a few questions remain:

Will this come to America?

If they change to Episode 2, Will they still get KMS's Expansions?


Updates:

It will still be the same game on the whole except for more exciting contents, with new and innovative ideas.

We would like to collect more information on the types of contents or features that players to see in MapleSEA.

Other than the existing future contents like boss, monsters, maps, towns that are available in other services like KMS, GMS for example; we would also like to see what kind of new and creative ideas that you all can feedback to us.

xshinny has given some new ideas for example; pet able to attack or a new home system for married couple. (sounds cool!)

Your characters will still remain. =) As for when it will begin, I don't have that information at the moment.

Well, what happened with Grand Chase and Audi? Do they still get updates from the original version? Same thing'll happen here, probably.

Seems like Asiasoft wants to become their own enterprise.

I would like to see many changes in gameplay mechanics of all things. Then we can see a lot of neat, interesting ways to go about certain situations in MapleStory.

They should just make another Exclusive Area. f3
That's what it looks like they are trying to accomplish.
They don't have to change the whole name over it. Unless they make a big difference to something that already exists and changes gameplay.

Thai MS has had that episode 2 thing all over their site for a while what’s so special about it? It doesn’t seem any different from other versions.

Wow a lot of this content is what I would like to see in our MS...

like new skill animations and legendary job class.

THMS are alrdy in Episode 2 already,but it doesnt seems much of changes except some contents release,EXP Rate Increases and some mini-games

but i wonder whether the episode 2 gt anything to do with the increased speed of the patching of contents of THMS (they have Mu Lung Dojo,Time Temple,Elin Forest ready to be released,and have even released Maker)

i wonder wad AS will be planning for MSEA though i really hope more exclusive contents for MSEA,maybe a SG/MY PQ,lols

Eh Nexon seems to be shaping up, and we're not behind MSEA in anything really, i'd call us to be on fairly even ground right now, if not ahead of them.

We dont have any "catching up" to do at the moment, as for a Maplestory overhaul, I like it. FIx some old areas up with them, KFT, Omega sector, all those are abandoned, i'd like to see some of them used, and UI updates would be neat too.

It's been my opinion for a long time that a passive 3x exp rate should be created, and the 2x exp cards removed. However, this would kill Nexon's profits, so meh...

Anyways, i think "MapleStory Episode 2" is just another fancy name. Its just an epic expansion. Hopefully, no more black slimes, i cant stand it. And MCS2, maybe?

That's all I want to hear. Who cares if it's 0,00003 or whatever it is, that's still 0,00003 more EXP. And it's good.

• Bumped up monster exp and quest exp.
  
• Reduced ride fairs.
  
• Made the Siam maps better.

Oh gawd. 1.5x EXP. jMS gets 1.25 and 2x weekends. Brazil MS gets an overall EXP TNL requirement sharply decreased (ie lower EXP curve, or less EXP needed to reach the next level). Guess out specialty is overpowered items?

Hmm...maybe an overhaul on all maps?
Reformat some maps, make them better.
Add another town in Vic?
Legit PQs in like KFT, Omega, Mu Lung
Maybe change the levels for each town
Like, you spend 1-10 on Maple island, 11-40 on Vic, 41-60 on orbis, and have quests/monsters/PQs for each town in that specific level range.
Such as have all monsters on Vic be lvl x-40, and then orbis=3x-60

I would love that! Then you don't need to waste so much time traveling all over.
