Way to tell someone has a Cygnus?
#1
I've been watching some KMS videos, and i've been very impressed with their damage.

I thought that this guy had perfect gears, but if he has like 10-12 attack from a Cygnus, then that would explain his damage. At about 1:24, he hits a 19k with a crit. Without apple/SE, you've got to have some serious gears to hit 19.8k.

Then there's this guy. I'm a guy who always compares other people to himself. I'm not bragging or anything, but I have some pretty good gears. This guy's damage is wayyy higher than my own. With just SE alone, he hit 123k with the last hit of barrage. With just SE alone, I can only sometimes get max damage. Yes he's higher, but I dont think 11 levels is going to give me a 20k+ damage boost. I've been tryna think of how to upgrade to atleast match this guy's damage, but the only things I can do to increase my damage by a lot would be to get chaos'd gears. If he has a Cygnus, that would explain why I can't get the gears to match his damage. Trying to cover 12 attack and 11 levels with gear is kinda hard =X.

How do you know you can't hit 123k with barrage if ours is still capped at 99,999?

well I don't really, but I definently can't hit an uncritted 45k dragon strike even with energy charge AND mw 19.

True. What's your range on that? 25-35k?

*NEVERMIND*
Well, when someone opens a knight of cygnus, you get a new skill which connects you to your cygnus. thats the only way to know.

That's not very far off. Rolleyes The str difference can make up for that. You don't even need the cygnus buff, lol.

Yah but that's with MW 19. He's not using MW at all. Not to mention those guys have a lot more defense than skeles.

He's either got some serious serious gears (100 atk knuckle, 17 atk BWG, 4/10 str pac, all those belts and stuff, HT pendant) or he's gotta cygnus.

30-32k venom is good for 18x... 20k is kinda low

Blue venom is wrapped around, lower is higher damage.

If he actually hit 20k, it would be doing 46k.

The highest I saw was 26.5k though, which is only ~39k. Still pretty good.

To answer the topic, there's no way to tell by looking at a character whether or not it's a parent to a cygnus. The only way you could tell is if he opened his skill book to beginner skills and the Blessing of Sprite skill was visible.

For that matter, you can't tell a Cygnus apart from a normal class just by looking either, unless they have their Cygnus medal on.

Quite amazing what a difference +11-+12 weapon attack at higher levels can do. Eek But on the other hand, 11-12 attack is equivalent to ~+10% more damage at that level.

I saw a 19k crit Somersault Kick, wth? Mad

Now I got a reason to make a Cygnus in the future, especially since leveling will be a joke with 3rd/4th job skills being given to them so early. Gogo Soul Warrior.
