Secret Spell Scroll

Ok It's very simple
Today I was surfing FM like I generally do, and noticed that many people had Secret Spell Scrolls (The ones that as far as I know are sold for 10m in Eos Tower) for less than 10m in their shops.

Of course this would be no worry if it was 1 or 2 scrolls, but I saw people who had 60s and 70s and 80s of this scrolls, I saw 4 merchants, one had 76 for 5.5m, that was the cheapest (I also felt very tempted to buy it for when my Marauder is 120 but I felt something weird) then a guy who had 48 for 7mil each, someone with 5x for 9mil and someone who had like 80 for 8.5mil.

Soooo Anyone know why people are like merchanting this? :f6:

I know i surfed FMs 13~22 on Ch1 scania
and Fm1 Chs 2~19 on Scania too.

The only two things I can come up with is related to the "shop hax" thread (not likely), or they're coming out of gach.

I don't think a single person would have 50+ spell scrolls in a shop and not any other gachapon items, if they did come from gachapon, that is. Seems very fishy to me, hopefully it's not another clean slate glitch-like epidemic. Anyone wanna go down the eos tower to check up on the scroll seller there?

Sounds like dupe is back. Last time they just NPCed these pineapples, but i guess they think selling it in a shop for more than the NPC can sell for makes it not look like it was duped, and it "helps" other players in the process.

Yea, I smell dupe as well. Hopefully it is just a glitch. Perhaps chest reward?

if it's over 20 secret spell scrolls, in over 10 people's shops, there's almost 0% chance of it being from gachapon, and if they were from gachapon boxes then there would have been a screeenshot or two of people getting them. Also, the multitude of people selling them seems to indicate that it wasn't someone server transferring and trying to bring a good portion of their mesos with them (if this were the case it wouldn't be so many people, or you would have seen these up in people's shops after the last server maintenance if a group of people transferred worlds en-masse).

I'd say it's safe to assume that the dupe hack is back.

Maybe they can't dupe as much as they want or something, because they probably would just NPC it if they could do it unlimited.

Honestly, I don't have any response for that. Assuming they can infact dupe that many at once, I'm sure that's what they would've done. And, they'd likely not want to show off that they're duping the secret spell scrolls by putting them in the shops, and instead just npc them all and quietly buy up some white/ clean slate/ chaos scrolls and then dupe and sell those slowly overtime... Atleast that would be my method for doing it.

The only way it makes sense, is if you assume a dupe hack was leaked, and someone without a fully developed brain got their hands on it.

I honestly hope I'm wrong though.

The previous dupe (I dunno about new ones or w/e) could only dupe things that could be stacked (scrolls, pots). It couldn't dupe equips.

Did Nexon change the NPC value of those Secret Spell Scrolls? Because I'm almost 100% positive they used to be 5m a piece.

That's correct. Obviously I've never tried it myself, but that was the understanding I got from the people I talked to about it. They had to rely on the duped 10%'s and Whites they made.

Well, they should still be able to do that. It'd just take a hell of a lot longer since getting a lot of money with it is much more annoying.
