Connections, pointing to Lucifer being a major boss?

Recent announcement, obvious, blah blah blah blah about Lucifer.

Some expect it to be a new major boss or so. But looking at things closely, it could be something big.

There was a text translated to as "Lucifer as has been resurrected from the darkness." that was known. As it states, in Korean characters used in it (마왕 also means Devil, Satan, Evil.

In religious believes (Christian, to be exact), Lucifer is a fallen angel from the heavens:

Big word to use... and it's kind of advertised more then what a simple Area Boss or side-quest would be.

On top of that, why would Nexon Korea dedicate something, if it is small, to it's own ads.


An NPC of Tristan, the hero, was also implemented.


Infact, I believe there was a quest in Perion where Manji talks about an event, fighting a Balrog, that killed a specific someone, but killed the Balrog as well...

So could it be though, as for a new major boss, or squad boss, that this Balrog might be the next one? I don't think Nexon would hype up a simple area boss or something, considering it has to deal with the storyline of Maplestory, and even dedicate it to it's own ad, doesn't make too much sense for them to do that...

Overall...
1.)This expansion of Maplestory has it's own ad for it.
2.)The story of Tristan is incomplete, along with quite some stuff in Victoria Island.
3.)Tristan's Soul NPC is there! That's quite something...
4.)The map design is quite big... for what would be just an "area boss"

Though, it is known, this is unused data currently in KMST as stated. But from what it seems, it has a high chance of being something big...or so.

I doubt it would be Lucifer itself, but some Maple version of the Prince of Darkness, possibly. Balrogs are pretty much the epitome of evil in this game it seems. i.e. demons.

Well, as for the name... this is just a direct translation, no localization in it at all. They could name it something else as for an English name.

I am in awe. And yeah, translations aren't always exact and such; there can be discrepancies. I'm excited. There's potential for a whole legacy in this thing. o_o

It IS pretty epic, and a great expansion of the Sleepywood dungeon. Its getting really empty these days.

Lucifer would make sense, him being the son of Satan (iirc...). Also, judging by how it's sealed all the way DOWN DEEP into the Ant Tunnel, it does make sense. Only some of the strongest demons / monsters lives at the very bottom of caves / dungeons, etc.

It's a Map Simulator. It doesn't produce static full map renders (like mine does), but it loads the whole map and you can move around it on a 800x600 window.
So it's something like an "emulator".

As far as I know it can't produce fully rendered pictures (at least I didn't found this feature).

Hawt. Although of course, it'll have a name that makes almost no sense if it makes it to GMS, primarily so as not to offend Angry Christian Mothers. Kinda like Yakuza with boxing gloves and toy hammers. >_<.

Maybe it's like...some sort of Grandfather Balrog, that can fill a map, named Lucifer, meaning it would have to be one bad ass Rog...maybe fought in stages in different parts of the map. If would certainly make people feel less stupid for walking all the way down there to fight a "boss" with less than 100k hp...

Looks more like something for ~Lvl 100 from what I can tell. (Due to the items in data, quests that are involved, etc.)

Horntail Quests never exceeded lvl 80 if I recall correctly, yet Horntail is a lvl 160 boss.

I think the quest will start from manji. And my guess is that the Black Magician awakened it.. Another move to destroy the mapleworld.
