The "You can't do that now, catch you breath and try again" Messagebox

Ugh, that blue message box really drives me nuts. Does anyone know what triggers this messagebox whenever you drop an item/change channels?

And what the heck is the point of this messagebox?

You mean when you're in your "breathing" animation after you get hit/attack?

I assume it's to prevent you from CCing/dropping stuff while some monster is pounding on you.

The point is, what is it there for? It seems pointless and its annoying.

So that someone can't CC away from a monster to save themselves. Same reason why you can't put town scrolls on a key.

The point is so that you can't escape a mob just by changing channels or going into cash shop. Though esc up enter kind of kills the points of this.

It's so hackers can't run away before being reported (since they have to stop attacking, then wait a few seconds)

At least, it was in Beta. Now it only annoys the players, cause the hackers can disable it. :x

I'm sure that as soon as you hit enter, you get the message.

nope she's right. Esc, up, enter works always, in any situation.

Are you talking about CC'ing or exiting off the game? o_O

Esc, up, enter = exiting off game
Esc, enter = change channel

Esc, up, enter is quit game.

I've always wondered about this as well. I guess what they're trying to prevent is you dropping equipment or something that will let a team mate get new equipment ("here, take this adamantium plate to forge a new Dragon Claymore") and then using that to save your ass. I mean, okay, so what? Trading bypasses this, and this will almost never come up unless you're in desperate need of HP equips xD

What doesn't make sense to me is how you can't shuffle around items in your inventory.

It only really annoys me when i am in a PQ and need to drop an item and then you always get hit by a monster over and over. B > Dark Sight.

Maybe its also there to prevent mass meso dropping at bosses and stuff, so Shadowers can't just ME a whole boss.

You can drop mesos while you're "breathing" though.
