NLs are terrible for soloing Zak. I know an NL (I can't remember what level, maybe 165 or so) who took 3 hours to solo it. They get overrun by summons pretty easily, and some of the weaker ones probably can't even hold enough stars to make it the whole way. Being a melee class at Zak gives you huge advantages.

Plus NL w/o se is relatively low dps

A Corsair is probably a better choice for soloing zak that a NL because of higher bullet capacity, less bullet use, higher dps on single targets etc. also not completely reliant on SE

Yah but people put bucs pretty low in terms of DPS. I've played almost all the classes, and I think bucs are pretty damn good at DPS. People try to say heros are stronger with brandish than bucs are with demolition, which I think is complete crap. There's no way a hero can outdmg maxed demolition. Seiishiko with apples is hitting 40ks with demolition. I'd like to see an apple'd hero do better DPS than 40k demolition. I don't give a shiet wut the DPS thread says or anyone else. There's no way brandish can outdmg demolition.

How about BM's? any times on 16x/17x BM zak solos?

Running the numbers, it looks like a Hero with his equips and stats should easily hit 40k+ with Brandish, maybe even 50k (but there's defense so probably not). I'd have to find a screen or something though.

His equips make him nearly as strong as the theoretical level 200 Buccaneer in my thread, it's really not surprising how much damage he can do with that range.

Incorrect my good sir. Mardia had a Cosair that solo'd zakum back around Thanksgiving or Christmas. I don't remember his name but if you check out the mardia section on Sleepywood and go back a few pages you should be able to find his ss's and such.

PS: Please forgive me if I had the time period wrong. But I know there is a Cosair who has previously solo'd zakum. So technically your the 1st buccaneer.

You've been to khaini, have you not seen ExtremeBeast's damage? I heard he hit 50ks pretty consistantly with apples. Of course, he is 197 atm, so he does have a good number of level on seiishiko.

Here is a thread of a hero in mardia that has great equips. His lunchbox is 100% gm scrolled, but I'm not sure if it was during these pics. He might have had a few slots left on it. It gives you an idea of what a hero is capable of.

Hui has a perfect lunchbox . Kind of unfair to compare anyone to him. If seiishiko was 30 levels higher though, I bet he could get up to 60k demolitions.

Maybe if bucs had our own lunchbox type weapon, we could be even better. Right now though, only heros and mages have a godly godly weapon (lunchbox and elementals). Everyone else is stuck using normal weapons.

nor can you really prove he didnt hack in zakum. Hacking zak by yourself doesnt count.
