You are lucky since Singapore is a midget country, and malay isnt all that big.

Nope. Canada + America = HUGE.

I know some irl friends though that play ms in general...but they all play in different servers ;~;
I don't really tell people I play ms though. It's kind of a reputation killer

Yes. I've actually met two of the people I know in Maple.

The first one was a long time ago, when I was OPQing with some people at 3am in the morning during one of the vacations... then I got bored and started asking people where they were from, and it turns out this one guy went to my school. He quit MS, but we still say hi irl.

The second one I actually met while training, and then we added each other on facebook. During one of the band reviews, we met up and said hi and talked a bit.

LoL. That's why I meet people irl through Maple and not the other way around. If I even mention that I play maple, someone will immediately say something like "OMG, you still play that kid's game?" >_>

Well, I have been able to meet up with a few in real life through a certain internet cafe that I frequent, but given the nature of where I live, it's usually impossible for me to meet up with everyone I see in MS. (Lol Islands)

I live within 10 miles of a friend from JMS. Quite odd meeting someone so close in a low English speaking populated server from across the world. Probably the closest friend I have made on Maple.

I do that too. I only told my neighbors, and showed them the game and they loved it. I have to give them evil looks though if they try to bring it up. I am pretty sure most people don't consider me a gamer, and well ,frankly, I would like to keep it that way.

My brother makes fun of me since all he does is look at the graphics. He won't give it a chance AT ALL. Doesn't help that I was a lot lower level then too. Stupid Nexon making us fight snails at level 1. Cool monsters don't really come until about 70+.

Ironically, kinda a yes and no answer.. Here's why.

My one chick-friend invited me to play Maple Story, if you count that as 'meeting' a Maple Friend irl. Secondly, I have also invited others to play MS irl, at college, actually. Everyone's cool with it too, I got a close friend playing, and he almost has a Bishop now.. I also met a random girl in my campus who plays a Priest in Bellocan. She saw me soloing Geist Balrog on my NL one day in the school computer lab, and stood behind me and watched, LMFAO! XD

My g/f, who I play MS with (we met even before MS..), I will be seeing her this upcoming Summer, visiting and going to her Prom and everything. If you count that as meeting an MS friend irl, I 'guess'.

I have several friends in-real-life that play MS. About 50 people at school that have previously played it. And I got friends into MS that met other people that used to or continue to play it.
I always talk about meeting the people I interact with over this soul absorbing game but I know that I would not enjoy meeting them. They probably would not enjoy meeting me as well. They know "SilverQuiver"/"ian". I am not SilverQuiver in-real-life. Though I have to say that I pour my real self into the game more than most do.

living in brazil and playing on GMS makes it pretty hard. Even being in a brazilian only guild, i've yet to find someone from my state. The only ones I've met are the friend I mostly start playing all MMORPGs with and some other people we invited into the game.

Sometimes I wish it was possible to meet some of my friends in MS, but they're scattered all over the place.

My cousin plays MS, and he's my roommate, not sure if that counts.... We don't really play much now that school started back and we don't really talk about it either.

I wish I could meet some of my friends, but like Dusk said, they're scattered all around. A few in Canada, one in Arizona, one in Florida, and a few more in Maryland.

Met my girlfriend, we met through Maple. She lives in Hawaii and I'm in Australia. She comes and stays at my place every few months.

Long ranged relationships seem awkward... How does this work out?

Funny that you mention it... two of my Maple friends stalked me IRL and found me at my place of work just today. I saw them for the first time and was like... "hey, those faces look familiar..."

Yep. No joke.

Well, except for the stalking part. But really, I just met two of my MS friends IRL for the first time today. Sadly, since I was on the clock and they were part of a rally, we didn't really get to chat long. Even so, it was pretty rad being able to connect a pixelated character to a real life human being.

It was a little unnerving at first though since I was totally not expecting them. (No offense if you guys are reading this!) Biggrin
