World Select Screen 'Hints'

So. The past few patches on the world select screen, I've noticed a few 'hints' Nexon has put out about the next patch. If you recall, back in V.54 This was in the World Select Screen. I didn't know what it was at the time, so I took that screenie, circled it, and put it on another site.



Ariant came out the very next patch. That patch is also when I happened to quit my Marksman and Maple for the summer, so I don't know what the other world select screens look like. Also, in the Pirate Patch, there was also a monster that I had never seen before; Ended up to be a Cube Slime from Magatia. We got Magatia the next patch. So. Here is the current World Select Screen.



2 Things Stand out to me the most in this picture.

1)The person attacking Frankenstein is wearing a flag cape. Which flag? The Chinese flag if I'm not mistaken. Shangai is probably next patch.

2)But then again, the setting is in Magatia. But I don't believe that the Magatia PQ has chalkboards with Alchemy on it and stuff (But then again, I've never been in Magatia PQ). Could this possibly hint at the Maker Skill?

3) Or, in the best possible conditions it would be both things included in the next patch.

So what are your guys' opinions on this theory that Nexon hides hints in the world select screen? D:

The maker one doesn't make sense... But about the cape one: It's interesting. The only way we have to know that is to wait, though.

I'd like to see more World Tour. Ossyria is pretty much done, as we won't be getting Time Temple until at least the summer.

Also, the recent patch only changed two monsters.
The change was simply reverting some untranslated string to English.

Hopefully, they fixed the error on their side.

Prose's hints are pointing to Crimsonwood part 2 in the Next patch (not tonight obviously). I don't think anything here is especially important, that cape is just a CS cape.

Magatia does have chalkboards with alchemy formulas written on them, though. On the Alcadno side.

i thought it was a cash shop cape from seeing it somewhere (thinking a PS) but i didnt stop to take a second look.

when i saw the ariant thing i was like "WTP! THAT IS PINEAPPLING WEIRD!"

the maker thing though i dont think is correct. that doesnt make sense to me, seeing as there are chalkboards everywhere.

I'm tired of Nexon's riddles to be honest. I wish they spent less time making riddles and more time worrying about running the game right. 1 day after the patch and there's still hackers in every map and the wedding is still glitched...

Nexon doesn't make riddles. I gave up believing everything has some little meaning behind it, perhaps what the next patch could include.

That chalkboard actually is in mpq by the way.

maker skills is not even released in TWMS yet

and in MSEA and GMS,the maker data is not even found,so give up the hope of getting the Maker Skill that fast

As far as i know, ellin forest and time temples stories are linked. It'd be like reading a book backwards.

There's a TV and a book in the picture, so obviously they're adding a MapleTV to every single map in the game and monsterbook next patch.

Anywho, if the next real patch we're getting is CWK part 2, there most likely won't be a clue, as it's unseen content, whereas the rest of the stuff that they've pointed to before was already in mainstream MS content in other versions. I wouldn't be surprised that there's no clue this time however.
