  • How bright does your Mapler shine? Find out in the second half of MapleStory's Shining Star update! Enter a new Star Planet mini-game area or fight monsters and explore Maple World to earn Reward Points. These special points can be redeemed for Cash items. The party's just getting started- try out a new GMS-exclusive dungeon, and become a Shining Star!

[Image: title_01.png]Chart a course for the new Star Planet area (Lv. 33 and above) and prepare for fun! Play mini-games such as Star Monsteropoly or Star Game of Yut to earn Star Points and improve your Star Grade. You can also get your fortune told, receive daily buffs and much more.

Work hard and you could become a Shining Star! You can become a Shining Star if you are in the Top 100 of the Star Planet Rankings or if you're in the Top 5 of each Star Planet game ranking! Shining Stars are selected weekly and can earn rewards such as a pet and title.

[Image: title_02.png]In this exciting new system, you can earn Reward Points by playing mini-games on Star Planet or through regular gameplay in Maple World. Levelling up your character, hunting bosses, completing party quests and making Cash Shop purchases are just some of the ways you can earn Reward Points. You can spend your Reward Points in the Maple Rewards Shop (located inside the Cash Shop) to purchase cubes, pets, scrolls and other useful items. This means you have an alternative method of buying NX items by simply using the Reward Points you've earned by playing the game! Even if you don't have enough Reward Points for a complete purchase, you can still apply your Points toward a percentage of your Cash Shop sale. Make sure to spend your Reward Points soon - they expire after a set time.

[Image: title_03.png]Another brand new, GMS-exclusive dungeon is on the horizon... Jump on board Mr. Lee Airlines' Vintage Arcade adventure in January! Try the old arcade game machine in the Event Hall to travel to popular tourist spots around the world and defeat the bosses you encounter there. Sightsee your way to victory, Maplers!

That.. actually sounds pretty enticing. NX just from levelling up? an actual incentive to fight bosses?

It's play2pay2win Tongue

I just googled around saw that you can't buy cubes or hair/ face coupons with Mileage in KMS, is that still the case?

From what it says here, we can buy cubes with our mileage, so that's pretty cool.

You can buy up to 10 Cubes (from the mileage shop),1 psok and 1 sok, and yep can't get hair and eyes, and royal coupons and master pieces (you can get stuff like scrolls, owls, etc here though and unlimited amounts).

This seems like the old lame mileage shop from KMS, so uh wouldn't get my hopes too high for this.

get ninja'd nib max.

We can buy Cubes, but only the ones in the Mileage Shop (which has limited quantities), and I think that's what these update notes are referring to. They don't mention that you can buy most things in the Cash Shop for 100% Mileage like you can in kMS, maybe you guys will get that in a later update.

Is that limit on cubes on a per week/month basis, or is it actually 10 cubes per account? If it's the latter, I'm so done.

It gets reset/restocked once in 6 months from what I've seen, Waiting for the next restock (There were 2/3 so far if my memory doesn't fail me, and they have changed the cloths and pet you could buy in the shop with each restock).

WOW. 6 months for a restock? The phrase "it's better than nothing" comes to mind.

Exactly. Oh, and your signature is so pineappleing great. I love Wilde Life.

Oh, and here's the next Maplestory Spotlight. It clears up some things about the Maple Rewards System, as well as events, including a Cash Shop transfer event from Dec. 17th to Jan. 7th!

Actually, the Mileage Shop resets very frequently. The last four (which I have found on the homepage) have been on July 24, September 30, October 30, and November 27. And I'm pretty sure it was also reset in August because that's when the Mileage system got updated. So basically once a month!

Weird I swear it still says I have 7 cubes remaining, but I guess that's what I get for forgetting about checking the shop.
Well that's not so bad then, but didn't it take 6 months until the more frequent updates or my horrible memory is failing me?

50 for everything, 40 or 30 for Ani and Ephina, and the fairy academy boss + black slime captain give 20 or 30.
