Then how about a "Diminishing Returns" event: for your first hour on Maple (in any given day), you get 2x. Second hour is 1.5x. Third is 1x. Fourth you go down to 0.75x "Get off the computer already!" and it goes downhill from there.

In some Korean games if you play for more than 4 hours (within a 24 period) you dont get any exp at all after the 4 hours. Dragon Gem was like that when it was in testing, you only got exp again after the day reset.

i heard about this happening, can you imagine how few people would be 4th job if this were implemented from the start?

I don't like that idea. There should be more resources and support out there for video game addiction, not just massive disincentives to play for more than 4 hours. The occasional daylong grind to hit a goal level can be pretty interesting.

there are actually quite a bit of things out there for video game addiction...in China. Most other countries really havnt seen much of a problem with game addiction causing deaths left and right, but mostly people being seen as de-socialized and stuff.

this stupid event is stupid, sure its a bonus, except half of maplesea population is dead due to severe lag (as in cannot even login, 30-180 seconds between teleport/change channel lag)

due to some misconfiguration after the latest patch, majority of players from using the Singnet ISP cannot log in. its 5 days in and no resolution from asiasoft.

furthermore, once you dc (which who knows, happens anyway sometimes) the counter is reset. (so you must afk another 5hrs to benefit)
