I'm not sure why people seem to think this Medal required you to spend absurd amounts of NX... I spent less than 40k and still got it. You can't tell me 40k isn't worth the best medal in the game, and it's the best medal in the game by far, too. You could've spent half that and still qualified for it in most of the worlds.

I think it was moreso that people just assumed that there would be 20+ NX hoes per world doing thousands of runs to get it, so most people didn't really bother.

40k isn't worth the best medal in the game. Honestly, 40k for 13 attack and 5 all stat over Black Swordsman is a complete waste of NX for most players IMO. One could gain much more by using the NX towards cubes, superior wards, or selling the NX/gifts for meso.

It's also likely that GMS will get the Tiger & Dragon content from CMS and the 15 all 25 attack medals.

I'll admit, I did have this mentality at the start of the event and decided it wasn't going to be worth the effort, then later on I came to the realization that most people would have the same mentality as well, so I decided to take advantage of that.

40k for a stat boost that is quite significant at end game is hardly anything at all. I'm sure most of the people in this thread have spent more on cubing in order to achieve less.

Do you happen to have a screenshot of that? Or any count higher than the 98 they credited you for?

Regardless of how you define end game (doing x amount of damage), 13 attack and 5 main stat isn't a stat boost I'd consider significant. The NW I'm making will be doing 10m lines on bosses, but the medal is only a 2% DPS increase. This is with 2k mainstat and 750 attack before potential (2005/2000 * 763/750). I'd wager players you consider end game have significantly higher stats than I do, making the actual DPS increase even less.My Tyrants aren't 8 starred, a chunk of my equips are still epic 6% luk, and I haven't cubed an emblem/bonus pot for %attack yet. This is in no way worth a $40 or several billion meso investment to me.

I'm not telling anyone how to spend their assets, I just have an issue with the initial statement you made. For the vast majority of players, dropping 40k NX towards this would have been wasteful. Take Sengoku totems as an example. When they first came out they were the best in the game. It cost less than 10k to obtain all 3 and gave 72 all stat 24 attack in total. Heck, they even cost less than the old RLH totems if you consider meso:nx rates. Those were a great investment IMO. Anyways, spending 4x as much on something that gives a smaller overall boost seems irrational to me. Especially when we are likely to obtain a medal with similar stats in a few months.

Nope. Frankly I don't even care since I still got the medal anyway.

I actually find it incredibly easy to say that an amount NX equal to the real world money value of a full retail 3DS game isn't worth it for some extra attack in maple, but maybe that's just me.

Yes, I'm sure you'll come back and say that you didn't spend money on the nx, but someone did and that argument is pointless anyway, so please don't reply with that anyone Rolleyes.

Okay, so why even concern yourself with the medal in the first place? Why even attempt to upgrade? Hell, why even play?

40k nx for the stat bonuses just isn't worth it, if anyone should answer the first question it should be you. The answers to your other questions vary between people and are irrelevant m8 I don't know why you're getting so philosophical.

When they removed party play at LKC the games population died so much when they removed it at stronghold it died further it is the main reason maple sucks now for me it killed social play now everyone just solos maps and can't even be bothered to say hi when you say it to them for the most part.

Even "back in the day", it was mostly "ccplz", "cc or ks", "cc n00b", "cc or dc", "hs plz", and so on in training maps.

They did more than they do now that is for sure I had many great conversations while training at LKC /Stronghold. Now people barely talk at all. Sure it was better before then when the game wasn't as pay to win but at least it was bearable.
