That one by Johnny cash is amazing. I was never a fan of Nine Inch Nails, but Johnny Cash made that song epic. That is definately one of the best covers.

I'm usually not a big fan of covers but I love this one:
 Deftones - No Ordinary Love (Sade)
As well as this one, although I still prefer the original:
 Leona Lewis - Run (Snow Patrol)
And yes, Johnny Cash's NIN cover is awesome too.

I'm sure there's a bunch more, but these are some that I think are better than the originals, off the top of my head...

 List with video links
 List without videos because they're too well known and I'm lazy
... and I'm out of ideas, as is obvious by that last one. It IS better than the original, though Smile I'm sure I could come up with more if I was at home and could check my music library.
