I have decided to develop a new program that will be used to recruit additional members for our Volunteer Forum Moderation (VFM) team! I would like to introduce to you guys - The MapleSprout Apprentice Program!
This is a permanent program that will be run in conjunction with our current VFM program, and will be used to facilitate the development of new and potential candidates to the VFM program itself.
Chosen members of this program will be an "Apprentice" to one of our current Volunteer Forum Moderators for a trial period, during which they will be trained in the workings of our community, as well as learn how to handle forum moderation and be tested on their abilities! Once a trial period is completed successfully, we will make the decision to convert eligible participants into full-time Volunteer Forum Moderators. We hope to use this program to find suitable candidates for us in the long-haul, and, as such, we would like to officially open up applications for V.1.0 of this program! Forumer A has made a thread on the forum asking for game advice. Forumer B comes onto the thread to tell Forumer A s/he has bad grammar. Forumer A posts back angrily grammar does not pertain to the thread topic and indicates to Forumer B not to post if s/he isn’t going to help. Forumer B returns and they both go at it. Forumer C posts to tell both A and B to calm down. What do you think it’s the appropriate course of action or do you take no action at all?

There was a time when I'd have been happy to do this, but that time has passed. The community on nexon forums is pretty bad. Not pre death DFO bad, but still it's pretty bad.

Considering other people in game quite likely know your name and/or facebook, that information will almost certainly not remain closed to others. If players in game already know who you are your fate is pretty much decided and done.
That is, assuming you ever make it known that you are a mod on the Nexon forums. I have no idea if you can decide to mod under a new handle or not.

i'm fairly big on privacy, got a separate facebook exclusively for maple (not like it matters, i never use it) and i don't fill anything that might use my real name (in fact, i fill it with name: shinku, last name: dragon
so yeah. plus i'd really throw a fit if nexon went and broke their own TOS
